Before we joined DVC, we had intended to go to Disney for the first time when our oldest was 5. We did, loved it, and went back the next year. After the second trip, we realized we were hooked and decided to go the DVC route.
I am convinced that DVC has been one of the smartest things we've ever done!!! We've always been vacationers, but now we are going on trips--real nice ones--more than we would have without it.
Like this year, I noticed on our daughter's school calendar for next year that she had a three day weekend that coincided with her little sister's birthday in late September. Thought hmmmmmm.......we could keep her out one extra day and take a little birthday trip to Disney. Made the ressies, bought annual passes during our trip this past January so the park passes are taken care of, took advantage of Southwest's Friends Fly Free for our four plane tickets and now all that is left is food!!!!!!!
A FOUR day trip to WDW from St. Louis?????? We NEVER would have done that before DVC. We would have felt it wasn't cost effective to go for such a short trip. Now we can and what a wonderful 4th birthday that will be for our little one!!!!!
And that trip is AFTER a week at WVL in January, 6 nights at HH in April, 3 nights at Big Cedar Lodge in July!!!! Not too shabby for a year, huh?
