Well, some of you may remember my post from a week or two ago about how I somehow I ended up back in high school because of the cliqueness of my office.
In that post, I mentioned a co-worker who has repeatedly stabbed me in the back, and worked so hard to be become part of the cool clique. This woman is the office gossip, and she is always looking for information on others so that she can turn it around and use it against you. She's the type of person who will spread lies and rumors. I was a friend to this woman when no one else cared. I've supported her through some difficult times in her life this past year and a half.
About six months ago, I realized how two-faced she was, and learned that I could not trust her. She would make fun of me behind my back, and she used me to get information on people (not that I gave her very much). Lately, she's been excluding me from lunches with a small group of us who went out at least once a week because of a situtation involving another co-worker (but that's another story, and I won't bore you with that one). Needless to say, my life at work has been very unpleasant because of her.
Well, this woman gave her notice today! It took every bit of restraint I have to not do cartwheels down the hallway when she told me. My worklife is going to improve so much when she leaves at the end of the month.
I just had to share.
