Oh Good Grief! Website can't be found!!

Disney keeps posting record profits but they can't spend what it takes to keep the Disney and DVC websites running. Can't wait for the Magic Band outages! :worried: :earsboy: Bill

Yeah Disney IT is a joke. Our KTTW barely worked last June. Anything that required a tip didn't work. The only "solution" was to completely remove our reservation and essentially rebook. The rep said it probably would go OK, but could take an hour. We said no thanks, we'll just carry our credit card for when the KTTW is declined. I'm not wasting an hour of my time after we already wasted 30 minutes in line and explaining the issue. Not worth it on a 2 day trip.

At ToTWL, they were starting to test magic bands and a few of the higher up IT people were there for the bands. The staff couldn't even get our KTTW to work so that already had me worried about the magic bands. The staff there said they thought the MB's were going to be a fiasco based on how that test was going. It seems my fear and their fears were justified.

I'm not looking forward to our May trip (well I am immensely besides this) and I'm purposefully not linking any of my 10 day or 8 day hopper passes I bought from UT last Spring before the price increase.

I just don't trust disney IT, though the iphone app has improved, possibly due to ATT Mobility.

People want problems fixed but they never want the site to be down. You have to pick one or the other. :) To fix some things the site has to be offline. Since the op couldn't access any Disney site and then could a few minutes later it sounds like a dns issue on their isp end. For as much traffic and with all the features these sites have they are very reliable.

Many of us had a similar problem this AM.

I beg to differ on the websites being reliable. I have found them far from it. They don't even do the functionality they are supposed to even in basic ways. Example: I needed to cancel a breakfast for next week. I have tried no less than 4 times to cancel it online. I never worked. I finally had to call dining to cancel it. Makes no sense for me to take up the time of someone for something I should have been able to easily do online.

Oh and tried to do on,June check in via DVC site again.... No less than 6 times. Finally had to call MS and he sent me to the Disney reservation check in site- which i never knew existed. So... Again... Many many calls by me and I ended up using the call center for something that really should have been done online.

Umm.... And amazon gets loads of traffic and their site works great!

The "how to book" section of the website is still down as of 1 minute ago:rolleyes2

Amazon site does one thing, it sells. Disney has a site that does multiple things and the way they mange to make it mesh still amazes me. The problems I have faced with it are minimal in comparison to some sites I have seen and use for work.

I have had no luck getting on the member site all day. I just want to tweak an existing reservation, but if I have to leave it the way it is I can.
