Hi everyone:goodvibes

After a thoroughly rubbish few weeks which i am still recovering from (wont go into details, trust me its better) i have decided to blow it all, i am going back to WDW this summer, flying out on my birthday on 22nd August, staying at Pop with dining plan for 7 nights. i am childfree for 9 days and looked at other stuff but there is no contest really is there? and nope I cant afford it, and yes it is irresponsible but i have been pushed to the limit and I just dont care:lmao: i priced it up with updrade to mod to get free dining, i priced it up through us disney.com and it is still cheaper to book through uk, stay at pop and pay for dining plan. Right now I am going on my own and thats fine with me, there are people i could ask but i have been meaning to do a solo trip for years and it never quite happens, some of you may remember:lmao:

so am gonna do all ADRs i have never done before, which means missing some favs but this is a new kind of trip. I am gonna tour parks in the morning, chill at the pool or tour other hotels in the afternoon, and take in dinner and entertainment in the evenings, less rides and more exploring.

ADRs I have tentatively decided on are:
Kona Cafe
Liberty Tree Tavern lunch
Sanaa (see the new AKL villas)
Rose and Crown
Chefs de France
Maya Grill
Trails End at Fort Wilderness, never been there and fancied a night at this resort with the open air movie and some dinner

No doubt I will pay out of pocket for a character breakfast and i want to stop by at Wolfgang Pucks for some sushi.

Found a flight with US Airways out of Gatwick via Philadelphia for £384, going 22nd August, returning 29th.

so thats that really, will be booking flight this week, putting my deposit down and all systems go:cheer2: And while i wont be there early enough to use the birthday fastpass that day i will be sure to stop by and pick up a gift card so i can get myself a birthday pressie hee hee!!
oohh i just cant wait, I am loading all the money onto my credit card to do it so that i can pay by card and no debt, it was lovely coming back the last two trips knowing that it was all paid for and i didnt have to hide from my visa bill;)
If anyone is going to be out there around the same dates then let me know and I'll be sure to meet up for drinks and to say hi! xx

Good for you Claire - hope you have a fantastic solo trip. :goodvibes We will be landing in Gatwick the day you leave - give us a wave as you take off!!

Good for you, have a fab trip. We will be there then too, Aug 22nd is our wedding anniversary!

i knew my birthday was a special day:lmao: what a wonderful way to celebrate for you x

Sorry you've had a difficult time but what a great way to feel so much better, a week in Disney. We will be there from the 20th.

good for you, have a fantastic trip :thumbsup2

Good for you! :thumbsup2 There is nothing like a bit of trip planning to take your mind off things :goodvibes We land the day you go otherwise it would have been great to have met for a drink

I wonder whether this trip will actually stay a solo trip? :lmao:

I love the spontaniety of this. In todays climate everyone is being cautious and I am sure this is whats making this whole thing drag on (but I'm not expert so there is probably more to it than that :lmao:).
It was refeshing to hear of someone saying 'to hell with it. I need this'
Good for you.

Thats what I'm wondering Jen:lmao:I have mentioned it to 3 people and they all get this look like they are doing disney math in their head. sorry i will just miss you:hug:

Thanks kenny, i have wanted to make this decision for 6 months and i went backwards and forwards and life has just pushed me over the edge. no doubt some people will criticise me for "wasting" money:confused3, i think its worth every penny for my sanity, happier person = better mum on my return!

Go for it - by the sounds of it you need a break.

We go out on the 26th - my birthday is 27th.

Have a great time.
