Oh, fudge. I could use a hug.

Oh so the counselor was a nurse? I didnt pick that up.

What a bummer!
Are you in physical therapy now?

thats just bias

which can be illigal... but I don't think this fits

you can do anything you set your mind to... almost

Ah, gotcha.

Sonya, you have to be a nurse! I'm counting on you!!! ;) :teeth:

you'd be a great nurse because you know what its like to be a patient. im sure there are nurses with all kinds of problems. prove them wrong:hug:

It wouldn't effect me. My immune system is pretty good already, but not where it should be. I really, really, really doubt my immune system is going to be sooo poor in the, what, 3 years till I get to nursing school.

That should be up to a doctor to decide.

You do realize that saying that to you is considered discrimination to you due to a medical condition. They could get in a lot of trouble for that, and I say that you should fight them legally against this. How they know of your medical conditions, I'm not sure, but I think you have full right to fight against this discrimination. If you bring them to court, there is a huge chance that you'd win the case.

And what good does suing them do? Seriously.. they said she wasn't fit to be a nurse. They didn't say, "No, we're not allowing you to be one." Plus, if they think she's not physically there to be a nurse, it's not discrimination. They may have evidence that should would struggle and potentially cause harm to herself.

Please.
Honestly, why would my oncologist move me up ahead in the protocol if he didn't think I wasn't doing okay?

Also, the self harm is a bunch of bull. My nurse had the same exact thing, and she's a nurse. There's a nurse at CHOP (Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia) who's an AMPUTEE and goes around ON CRUTCHES. They've never hurt themselves because they're "not normal".

That's why it's up to a doctor to decide, not me. I have no idea of your current medical state, and your doctor does and knows what's best.

And if you actually read what I said earlier, my exact quote was, "If the knees the only thing holding you back, then go for it."

There are all kinds of different RN positions! They are not all running around the hospital. Some RN positions you are not even exposed to contagious diseases!

You can catch anything just going shopping.

Id check with my doctor but I would defiantly go to nursing school!

My DH company just hired an RN to be at the office for the employees.
To answer questions and give lectures on healthy living choices.
