Oh for pete's sake.. Whose organizing something for October?

Just a quick FYI. You can pre-book the haunted hayride by calling the kennel at Ft. Wilderness beginning today (10/10). I believe this is the first year they have done this. I booked mine for the last hayride on 10/31. The number there is 407-824-2734.

The days after 10/30 will probably work best for me since I will be entertaining my family until then.

Flitter - What time was the last hayride? Did you have to secure it with a credit card?

Hello all, Here's what I have so far based on those that posted their info...................................Thursday 11/1 perhaps another afternoon meet at either BW or BC. If there is enough interest perhaps we could meet up at one of the freebie seminars at Epcot for the F&W festival..............

We're checking into the BWV on the 1st and if we can make it, we'd like to meet up. :thumbsup2
I'll be watching this thread.......................:goodvibes

The last Haunted Hayride on 10/31 is at 9:45PM. We made ADR's for Trail's End for 7:20. Two hours should be plenty of time to "graze" before the hayride.
Yes, you do have to use a credit card to hold the reservation for the hayride. Let me know if anyone else will be there.

Nice job putting things together, mm. :thumbsup2
Putting times and places together in order to accommodate as many DISers as possible is a big task to say the least.
Unfortunately, it's near impossible to come up with something that fits everybody's schedules. I'm usually the one that doesn't make it, but it's looks promising for me this time. :woohoo:

I think all your ideas are great... :smokin:

Thanks MG...I made an excel spreadsheet based on who has posted their plans for that week and what resort they are staying at to try and accomodate something that would be easy for folks. If any of our gang that plans to be there from about 10/26 to 11/4 wants a copy PM me and I'll email it off to you. If based on that info anyone comes up with other ideas I'm certainly open to it!

Magicmommy,

Your plans look great. My vote is for the Belle Vue Room at 1:00 pm on Sunday

Maistre Gracey,bobbiwoz,Tamar,MinnieMeg,MikMin6554,Flitter,ADP,gtrist4life,
DVC Grammy and me Magicmommy and friends! And of course anyone else who will be in the world and wants to meet up with some really cool people!!!!!
Trying to finalize itinerary for meets so you guys will know when and where!

Sunday 10/28 @ 1pm at either BW Belle Vue Room or BC solarium. For those that would like to bring a box lunch both the BW Bakery and the BC Marketplace have great sandwiches, salads and snacks. Both are on the DDP (Disney Dining Plan).

Tuesday 10/30 @ MNSSHP - meet @ the Aloha Isle for a dole whip at 4:30 since the MNSSHP gets you park admission after 4pm. Or we can pick another place to watch Hallowishes around 9:00pm.

Thursday 11/1 perhaps another afternoon meet at either BW or BC. If there is enough interest perhaps we could meet up at one of the freebie seminars at Epcot for the F&W festival.

I tried to mix it up a bit based on those folks that are in the world that week and also based on where folks are staying and or easy to get to.

Please let me know how it sounds...we can certainly tweek things if need be.

I also thought about a late night haunted hayride at FW on Monday 10/29 but that would be based on availability if and when we booked!

Would you guys like to comment on what I have so far? Any other ideas? Any others who want to join in?

Let me know if any of these work for you so I can finalize by Monday!

Nancy

Since the early part of my schedule will be kind of tight, give me a time and a place and I will do my best to be there. Sorry I can't commit to anything solid.

I hope you guys have great meets! For us, it's really a "Being with the DGC time!" but do look for me, the tired DGM! I'll be wearing my "bobbiwoz" Dis pin, and for the most part, we'll be at the MK or at the pool at WL. If anyone else will be at the Boardwalk with their kids for Trick or Treating, which we heard is fantastic, we could meet you there! I also can't wait to see what VWL has instore for the Halloween!

DSis, DF and I will be at the first Eat to the Beat Concert on Saturday to see the Village People. Will anyone else be ther?. We have the one day without responsibilities! DH is going to Boston to help the family in the airports on Sunday.

Bobbi:goodvibes

PS. We will have dinner at LTT on Tuesday, but aren't going to the party. I'll try to get to the Aloha Island, to say "hi!"

The only one that might work for us is the Sunday, 10/28...but hard to say where we'll be mid-day on that day, so we're a maybe.

Tamar

Maistre Gracey, we are staying at VB from 10/28 - 11/1. I will look for you checking in on 11/1. Do you really look like Kevin Bacon? ;)

We are going to be at EPCOT on 10/31 and 11/1. We are going jet skiing in the afternoon of 11/1. MNSSHP on 11/2. PFTS on 11/3.

Well, I'd like to meet up with some cool people! My DH & I are going to the Sweet Sunday thing at EPCOT on 10/28. It starts at 10:30 am, so I think we'll be done just in time to make this meet!

I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if it will be at the BW Bellvue room or the BCV Solarium. Either will work just fine for us. Our plane leaves for the World on 10/27.

I would love to meet up with y'all on the 28th! That's near the end of our trip, but we (a friend and I) will be at Epcot that day - and several FL DISers are planning to join us. :) I guess I won't know which location was chosen as I'm leaving Monday (10/22) late morning and won't have computer access. But if y'all are at either place, we'll find you!! :goodvibes (as you can see by my ticker, we'll be staying at 3 places!!! We'll be at SSR by the 28th!)

We leave for the World on Sunday....can we just say the Bellevue for 10/28? If we are not at a wine seminar at that time, that's where we'll be!

We leave for the World next Saturday and will be there till the following Saturday, Nov. 3. So far, all of the meets look do-able, except the one on the 28th.

I love the Aloha Isle idea, before the party on the 30th. I'm also going to go see what I can find out about the Haunted Hayride on the 29th.

I found the following comment, posted on another board by one of the hayride cast members, and thought I'd post it here for those considering this year's Haunted Hayride. I'm sure this year's hayride will be just as good as in years past, but I'd hate for someone to go, expecting to see the Headless Horseman, and be disappointed.

Original Hayride Storyteller
10/12/2007 by Mr. VanBrunt
Hey everyone, I‘m happy that you enjoyed my performace. I am the "gent" in the pictures from the hayride. I have to say that I am disappointed that they have chosen not to continue with the Sleepy Hollow Hayride and the Headless Horseman in 2007. This year the story is about the town of Vineland and the mysterious disappearance of its inhabitants back in 1911.*Should be fun but just very different and I don‘t want anyone to be disappointed without the appearance of the Headless Horseman. I am sure the new ride will be done with the usual Disney aplomb and it will be wonderful. I had such a great time originating the role of the storyteller back in 2002 and doing it every year for 5 years. Thanks for the memories and my best to everyone.

We're hoping to be there for that - if the plane lands on time, ME is reasonably efficient, etc.

Will look for you and your button, LOL. I will have a green DIS key chain attached to my purse or fanny pack. I had a button but have no idea where it is currently residing. :teeth:
