Oh, D-D-D-Dear! My Piglet's Bday in the World UDD 10/10 The End!

Those are great pictures of Boo. Glad her birthday was so nice! Sad to see your trip come to an end, but you always have the December trip to look forward to!

They say all good things must come to an end. In the case of our June trip, before I knew it, the car was packed, the kids were in it, and I was taking one last look at the room. I was feeling relaxed, as if I could drive the entire eight hours and be fine. I had not cried.

Boo had spent her birthday card, the spoils of our vacation were in the trunk, and we took one last trip through the rain to Riverside Mill to refill our refillable mugs. Then, we drove over to the Poly for breakfast at Ohana. It was to be our last Disney meal. We walked around the Poly for a while, and then checked in, because we knew we would have a long wait. The kids enjoyed looking at the POLY lobby, which is beautiful, especially given the time of year we were there. I will say this: although I'd love to stay here, I'd only be able to stay in the summer. It would just be too weird any other time.

We were seated after about a 40 minute wait, and we got awesome seats--right by the window, for one of the least obscured views of MK. Too bad it was rainy, but we still had a good view, nonetheless. . .

When I looked out that window, it hit me. We were leaving. I didn't know when we'd be back, but I did know this--I was sadder than I had been in a while. I cried. Like a baby.

We started the meal, and the characters started to come around.

Stitch loved the fact that Stinky had a Stitch t-shirt on--he kept pointing to Danny and then to himself.

Pluto was crawling on the floor like a typical dog and when my kids came to him, he ate them up. Without a doubt, this was the best character in our time there.

And then Mickey came, dressed in his Polynesian finest.

Finally, Lilo came around, just before the character parade. . .

And I learned a valuable lesson. . .want to have a memorable last few minutes in Disney world for your kids? Take them for a character breakfast before you leave. It doesn't matter where. Just take them.

When breakfast was over, we have a couple of snack credits left, so we went to Cook's at the Poly and picked up a couple for their Daddy. Then we hopped in the car, and took the 8 hour drive back to North Carolina. Like everything else, all good things come to an end.

But you always have the happy memories.

Great trip report! Thanks for sharing your memories :)

Our last two trips we ended the stay with the Ohana breakfast! That's funny! But, you are right...a great way to end it!

My solo trip is going to end with a Chef Mickey's breakfast (ah, brunch :rotfl:). I think that closes up the Disney magic well--a character meal and then a departure. For me, the meal would really have to be on the monorail, so I could see the castle one more time. I feel like I'm lucky to have gotten the ressies at Chef Mickey's for 11:00am! They are soooo hard to get!
