Anyone see this??

I can't believe we waited so long to rent it. It was hilarious. I really miss a good feel good movie.

Wasn't it good? We ended up putting the movie AND the soundtrack on our Christmas lists that year.

We loved that movie! :) So many laughs!!

We just saw that movie for the first time the other night! Loved it....now DH is singing all the time...."IIIIIIII am a maaaaaaaan of constant sorrow......."

One of my (and DBF) favorite movies! Clooney is spectacular! "I see you've also been blessed with the gift of gab"! Great movie, great soundtrack!

"we're in a tight spot"--I love that line!! George Clooney is hysterical in that movie. What a great movie!

We love it too! It's one of the first "grown up movies" that my kids have liked. We also have the soundtrack, and they ask to listen to it to and from work at least 2 times a week!

I'm a major Coen brothers fan, so I've loved everything they've done. Can't wait for their new one, "Intolerable Cruelty", with George Clooney again. Should be very funny.

If you liked "O Brother..." you should see "Raising Arizona", "The Hudsucker Proxy" and "Fargo" if you haven't already. All 3 are very, very funny in that special Coen kind of way. My personal favorite of theirs is "Barton Fink", but a lot of people can't deal with that movie for some reason.

"Fop...I don't wear Fop! I'm a Dapper Dan man!" This is one of my favorite lines. Also, "Pete, we thought you was a tttoooaaaddd."

This is one of our all-time favorite movies. Bought it on DVD when it came out and we watch it all of the time. Great movie!!

WE own OBWAT, and the Soggy Bottom Boys CD. But I can hardly believe that there are all these posts about the movie and noone has mentioned the tie-ins to Homer's Odyssey....

(I didnt catch it the first time I watched it either....)

OMG-just reading those lines again has me lmbo!!

Guess I'll have to add the soundtrack to my xmas list.:Pinkbounc

I had heard a lot about this movie. I've got a friend with a sense of humor similar to mine who raved on and on about the movie.

so........

I really wanted to like it....I liked the movie.....there were some funny scenes......but it just didn't do anything for me.

When it was over, my wife and I looked at one another and went
"huh?".

Like I said, I really wanted to like this movie, but it just seemed to be missing something.

Just my .02 worth

I need to rent this...:)

I love all of these movies, too! I think Raising Arizona is one of the best comedies ever made. Whenever I have to take our kids to the doctor for vaccinations, my husband says "you gotta get the 'diptep' "-classic! A lot of people don't like "The Hudsucker Proxy", but I think it is great. We have Fargo on DVD, too. I LOVE Steve Buscemi!!!!
