Oh brother, Christian fell at school

minkdog - sending good will your way!

Did it arrive?

Got it! :goodvibes Christian is still not walking on his own. He's very stiff in the mornings, but he can walk with assistance. I have to get under his arm and lift him(good thing he's taller than me, or I wouldn't be able to do it.) He's leaning on me heavily, but he managed to get down the steps slowly this morning. It's hard to get him into the car--I have to physically lift him to my waist level to transfer him into the car. I sent him to school in his wheelchair again today. I have gained a healthy respect for those parents whose children never learn to walk! There backs must be very tired.

Christian is supposed to go to the respite house this weekend. Respite is good for him and good for us. He goes there for 48hrs, Fri night through Sun afternoon. It's heaven for us! There are two very nice ladies (like your Auntees) there who have kept him several weekends a year since he was 7yo. so they know him very well there and I can relax and be assured that he will be well cared for. If he was sick I'd keep him home, but he can go there, sit on the couch and watch Disney videos all weekend and have a little fun with his friends. They'll probably have a group come in to do crafts with them or bake cookies. The community is very kind to these kids.
