I started working at my local Disney Store two weeks ago, great group of CMs there and I really like it... however... the store next door is See's Candy which just opened for the Christmas season. Since they are new to this area they are sampling like crazy. It seems as if every other person who comes into our store is eating a sample.. so after two weeks of seeing this candy all day I decided to go in::yes::
Well doggies if they don't have my very favorite, peanut brittle!
One sample and I was hooked. I now have a 1.5 lb box in the kitchen that I keep "visiting" if ya know what I mean:crazy:
It has got to be the best Peanut brittle I have ever had anywhere.
I have a feeling most of my paycheck will be spent there... and I thought I was going to spend it all at work!!!!

Oh my, I love that stuff! My uncle worked for them for like a million years, and would always send us a box at Christmas.

I've never heard of this place.....which may be a good thing...LOL!

We get a box of See's peanut brittle from a family friend each year. To call it peanut brittle is an insult. It is a heavenly, buttery, toffee like candy that is beyond belief.

See's candies are unbelievably dangerous. Most candy I can easily ignore, but their old-fashioned candies are just too hard to resist. You really do have temptation right next door now!

My personal favorite of theirs is a round dark chocolate candy with a layer of marshmallow and a layer of caramel. It is deadly!

OMG, I was jonesing for Sees candy so much I ordered a box for christmas last year! seriously, I haven't had it since we lived in California...its been years. So good!

It's just not Chrismas day if there aren't atleast three picked over boxes of Sees lying around the house.

Don't talk about Sees candy while I'm on a diet.
Especially don't talk about the Bourdeaux egg that DW got in the "B" exchange, I think. :hyper:

This is so funny! I was just a See's. Our Costco sells 2 gift certificates at a reduced cost (of course). So I'm sending a box to my brother in Louisiana & the other one pound box for Christmas Day here. My DM was with me and I asked her if she wanted to wait in the car or go in with me. Of course she wanted to go in! FOR HER FREE SAMPLE! Not only that, she insisted on holding one of the boxes & GC - to make sure she got a sample! See's is def one of my weaknesses!

Ohh man, We are going to get our Christmas tree tonight and there is a Sees nearby. I've been craving the Scotchmallows and the 1 lb box of soft centers. I think I'll stop in... :) Dh doesn't like Sees (grew up in Belgium with the "good" stuff) so I'll have them all to myself :bounce:

Hey Julie...thanks for the heads up! Hmmm maybe we'll stop at Costco first :)

Ohhh...was that from me? ;) That's my favorite!

Oooooo.....I love Sees too----a family tradition in our family as well. I love the previously mentioned Scotchmellows & Bordeux, but my all time favorite are the Molasses Chips----nummy. I also like the one that's a dark chocolate rectangle that has nougat, caramel and almonds inside- like a gourmet Mars Bar.

Their blueberry truffles are quite tasty as well!

DH loves the caramel patties....

My Costco has those GC's as well

Who wants to go on a Sees run right now!

The little rectangle suckers are wonderful! I've not had much of their candy but what I have had is out of this world! Now I guess I'll have to order something on-line. :hyper:

Yes, I believe it was. Thank you.

Since they're not on the east coast I don't get too many opportunities to indulge in the finest candies made with Mary See's original recipe (I should be an ad writer.. lol). One of the few things I miss about living in CA.

I absolutely love See's chocolate!!! I had my first sample when I lived in San Diego for 6 months and I was hooked. As a matter of fact when I was pregnant with DS, we lived in Italy and I was lucky enough to get some online....mmmmmmmm.

The Mall I work at opens a See's stand every Christmas & there's always a line. Unfortunately it closes down right after Christmas. :(
