We have only ever been to Oga's after Covid - the first time was in September and they were only seating people in booths, and the second time was in April when they had no problem seating us in a booth (both times a party of 4).
What is the current situation? We have a party of 6 this time, but our kids are little (turning 4 on our trip and 6) so they can't reach up to the standing tables. Will they still let you request a booth or are we just stuck with whatever becomes available? And, if we get a booth, are they now putting multiple parties together? It's my son's favorite thing at Disney but I am trying to set realistic expectations if we need to cancel.

You can request it, but there's obviously no guarantee.
Absolutely understand that - just wondering the experience of people who are there now/recently. I know a month or so ago someone said they were seating multiple parties per booth, but I am hoping that will have changed due to the evolving covid situation in FL

When we were there last month our party of 5 was given standing space only at the bar, and it wasn't really enough room for all of us. In hindsight, I probably should have asked for a booth or at least seating at the bar. Not sure they can honor a request, but it certainly doesn't hurt to ask.

We are a party of 4. A few weeks ago, we were originally called, and when I asked, was told it was standing. I then asked the CM if we could wait for a booth, and we were allowed to (it was an additional 15/20 minute wait). We were seated at a table with another party of 4. They were finishing as we sat, and once they left, it was filled with a party of 3. Not sure, but they may let the party of 6 occupy the whole table, but not certain.

They are definitely seating and standing people together now. A party of four would have a high probability of being paired with another group. I’ve seen posts of parties of 6 being placed with smaller parties.

Thanks. We will probably cancel our reservation in that case and do it another trip.

On Saturday (7/31) our party of 6 was seated in a booth with another party of 3 adults. Our kids range in age from 9-19. The place was packed.

It was about a month ago when we were there. Our party of 5 was squeezed into a table/booth area with another family of 4. If you don't want to be squeezed in with other people, I would skip it. It was pretty uncomfortable to be packed in that much with strangers.

We were at Oga’s in early June with our 5 year old. We were “seated” at one of the standing tables and they brought a tall high chair over for us. Our daughter is pretty tall for her age, but it worked pretty well for us.

We were there on Monday night and stood at a high top table with another family of four. When they left, a couple joined us. The booth behind us had two families seated together.

It was a real bummer to experience how packed Oga's was last week. I wasn't prepared for the vast difference between this past spring and the current set up. I went into the trip with it being a must do, and sadly I no longer feel that way.

I'm afraid it sounds like this would be our experience as well. I'm going to hate breaking it to my 6 yr old but fortunately he is usually pretty accepting of things. It just seems counterintuitive to me that they would require masks on rides but then jam different parties together in a mask-less environment for eating/drinking.

Exactly. I have a son the same age and when we were at a standing table, he couldn't even see the top of it, so that was difficult too.

Thank you! I was concerned about that, so it is good to hear from someone in the same boat. Seems like my options are standing (which makes it hard for the kids to enjoy the experience) or crowding in with strangers, so we are definitely going to give it a pass. We had the perfect hour after park close reservation, too!

With having the after hour reservation, it might be better?...I think you might be able to get the drinks/snacks to go too, so you could try it and if it's not a good situation, order to go?

This is what is making me nervous. We have Oga reservations and you can’t mask when you are drinking. I believe I read you can get it to go. We may just go in, get a couple of pictures and then head out with our drink. I also won’t like being packed like sardines.

I had no idea we could order to-go! This sounds like the way to go. I think my son will be happy if we can just walk in and order - he doesn't need to stay a long time. If it isn't looking packed then we might linger.

I was there this past week and got our drinks to go. We are a party of two and were seated in a booth with a family of 5 already there. When the server came we ordered our drinks to go and she didn’t bat an eye. Seems like it may be a common enough request. We kept our masks on while we were in there and then drank our drinks outside on a bench across the way.

You're forced to sit with another family? Yikes - cancelling my reservation right now...
