Oga's Cantina reservation time concerns

Hi everyone! We're heading to Disney World at the end of month for spring break. I was able to get a reservation for Oga's Cantina on one of our Hollywood Studios days, but the reservation is for 7:55pm and the closing time for the park is currently listed at 7 pm. I know the park hours aren't set in stone yet, but I'm still worried that something will go wrong with having a reservation for almost an hour after park closing. I keep checking to see if we can get an earlier time but of course there is nothing open.

Logically I know that Disney wouldn't have the reservation time slot for that late if there we wouldn't be able to go to it, but I can't stop stressing about it. Help put my mind at ease.

You won't have any problem. You can stay in the park until then. This has been the case for the last 4-5 month,

I couldn't say for sure, but I'd think the park wouldn't let you hang around an hour after closing--or that an in-park restaurant would have a time slot that long after closing. Sounds strange to me--and if it's an accurate time, I think it suggests the parks are going to be open then. I'd give 'em a call closer to your reservation date if the park closing time doesn't change, but before it's too late to cancel to make sure.

Thanks! This makes me feel much better. I'm still opening they extend park hours a little but it's nice to know we'll still be good if they don't. My family are huge Star Wars fans and going to the Cantina was to of everyone's list of things to do.

This is 100% not an issue. It will be open even if the park is "closed."

We had one in January after park closing at Oga’s. We got fantastic pictures after we finished and were leaving the park . Enjoy!

Honestly, echoing previous posters in saying post-park close Oga's reservations are AWESOME. Lets you get some great empty park pics on your way out, and just being in Batuu with little to no people there, all lit up, is so great. Have a wonderful time!

That must be for certain days. When I made our ADRs for April, all parks, the last available ADR for in park restaurants was 5 minutes before park closing time. Just checked now for our week and it hasn't changed. maybe it will?

I can’t say what you are seeing and maybe it’s only for certain restaurants, but ever since they opened restaurants have had reservations after closing. It caused lots of questions in the first few months. I specifically know HS and MK were doing this. I’ve never seen this mentioned at Epcot or AK.

In January we had a 7:55 reservation, and Oga's was running behind and didn't take us in until shortly after 8. We only had one drink (they said they weren't rushing us if we wanted more) and I think there were two parties behind when we left. We walked out to an empty land and was given personal escort off Batuu to ensure we found our way out the right way ( ). It was fun talking to the CM about his planet and how long he'd been there, etc. He left us over by Muppets.

Since there's not much to do between closing and 7:55, we took that hour to get pics, just look around, and listen to ambient noise, etc. So cool!

It's only certain restaurants and the few that stay open get ADRs taken up very quickly. If park hours are extended, that's usually a good time to try and nab one because WDW will often drop more for that last hour.

Keep in mind that park hours are usually extended 2 weeks prior. I'll be down there 3/20 - 3/28 and HS has been extended to 8PM on the 20th.
