Offsite Hotel with better Concierge Level than Disney?

We are planning to go to Orlando for a few days in Aug just to go to the waterparks and hence don't feel the need to stay in the really expensive Disney Resorts...

But we haven't ruled out staying at maybe WL or Poly just b/c we do love the Disney experience... we stayed CL last time and while we liked it, I have stayed other places before with IMO better CL (hot breakfast food and more lunch stuff for instance).

So, was wondering, are there any nice resort/hotels in Orlando with really good CL service? And nice pools. Those are our 2 requirements!

Would the new Waldorf Astoria have concierge level? I've heard great things about it...including the price. May be something to look into.

Another one that might would be the JWMarriott?

I have never stayed at the Waldorf Astoria, the Ritz, or the JW Marriott in Orlando, but you can bet they have concierge service that Disney deluxes can't touch. In fact Disney doesn't even call their service concierge anymore, they call it club level now. I have stayed club level twice now at the Poly and once was due to a great, once in a lifetime deal. Even then I didn't see what the big deal was. It was a nice feature, but it just isn't worth the price that Disney charges. I have read a ton of reviews of the Waldorf Astoria and they all have been good, same with the Ritz Carlton. Their rates are way cheaper too compared to a club level stay at the Grand Floridian. The drawback to the Ritz and the JW which are located next to each other, is the location away from Disney.

OP, you should check out the Waldorf and see what rates you can get. I have seen some pretty good rates. Give them a try.

so it sounds like you would go with one of those 3 offsites vs Disney CL?? Esp if we are only going to the water parks...
