Offsite guests and Fast Passes question

Havent been since the new system to WDW, this will be our first experience. We are staying at our vacation home close by. My understanding we can only book FP 30 days out. Has anyone had trouble getting FP for rides or days you want? Didn't know where else to put this on the boards.

The only fp+ we had a bit of trouble with was 7DMT. We took less than ideal times at first and checked back often until better times opened up.

When are you going? How many in your group? Different times of year or special events affect FP availability. In my experience last May (as fellow offsite guests) we were able to get FP+ for anything (if you were flexible with available time spots) we wanted EXCEPT Anna & Elsa and Festival of Fantasy parade. Check for the "Fastpass strategies thread part II" on Theme parks board, extremely helpful. It should be on one of the first couple pages.

Ok thanks, I will check for that thread. We are very flexible people, so that was good to hear. I think we really want to get the 7DMT as we were there last right before they opened it.
