Any news this week? I saw that a couple of people posted about invitations for this week. Worried about our October trip.

Don't worry much about October, specifically.

Expect many changes by June, or so.

I just want the testing phase to end so we can see the "final" result.
Robo, can you help with a question, tigon about a one night reservation. We will be offsite but always arrive one day early. I am thinking about a Disney room if it will help me with FP+ For the rest of the week. How does that work?

1. I actually expect them to keep making alterations to the FP+ rules for quite some time (years?)
as they try to fix the many unexpected consequences that
they create as the ill-conceived plan continues to roll forward.

2. Buy multile-day tickets. Link it to your MyDisneyExperience file.
Make your room-only WDW resort reservation for the first day of your trip.
Make FP+ reservations for the total number of days on your tickets.

If this does't work, then Disney has plugged that loophole.

1st: How many people have actually been chosen for offsite testing? Is there a common denominator between them?

2nd: What should my plan for Anna and Elsa be? We will be doing ropedrop, should I hightail it to the fp+ line and get my A&E ticket there, hoping that there will still be SOMETHING left. Or, should we hightail it to the standby line and hope the wait isn't too long. We will be doing MK 2 days, but only one day will be a ropedrop. Honestly, I am tired of thinking about it, and tempted to talk the little 3 year old into just waiving at them in the parade. What is everyone's advice?

3. That's an option, too.

How much time is worth investing in it? Only you can answer for your family.

If you can talk your 3 yo into waving at them, go with that! Make a big fuss about it, "Oh we're going to see Anna and Elsa at the parade!"

Good luck :)

Robo and ArwenMarie--- Thank you so very much for your response. :D Maybe we will go to the fastpass line and if by chance we are able to get them, we will go. If not, we will wave.

And ArwenMarie-- That was my plan, to make a huge to-do over it. I might even let her dress up for them before the parade. (In her fancy Anna dress)

All that aside: I would be pretty tickled if I didn't have to worry about any of it. lol

I can *almost* guarantee you that your 3-year-old won't even comprehend she's missing out by not having a one-on-one meet and greet. They don't know what they don't know so they don't know to be disappointed!

I think the parade idea is a fabulous compromise! That's our plan. My dd11 said she'd like to see Anna and Elsa too and I said, do you want to wait for 3-8 hours to do it? She said, "NEVERMIND!!!!! I could watch the movie FOUR TIMES instead!"

Make sure you are on the left side of the road as you are facing the parade, we were over by Tony's, so our right side, and the float with Anna and Elsa also has Cinderella, Belle and the Beast, etc; A&E are on the side that faces the interior hub there. They did SEE A&E, but from a distance when the parade came around the circle.

They plugged it. We were going to get a throw away room at value and stay at our beloved Swan but now the FP+ pre selections are only good for the length of stay. So, we moved to the Yacht Club, as we haven't been in many years (DH has never been) so it'll be fun. We even ended up adding a night before and we couldn't get it at the YC so we're doing something TOTALLY different and staying that night at Coronado Springs. We hope we like it, and hey, its just 1 night! It seems like a nice place though!

Ugghhh…just great :scared: I had a room booked for the first night of our stay to be able to book FP+. So you are saying that you can only book FP+ for the days you are booked at a resort?
We are staying off property at Bonnet Creek for 2 weeks, but I booked 1 night at ASMU for my DH and boys, and I booked 2 nights at AOA for me and my daughters (which we are keeping anyway). I will cancel the ASMU if what you say is true.

I don't know for certain if you are still able to do this or not but someone just reported on the throwaway room thread just last night that they just did it. Make sure you understand that on the 60 day mark of your check in day that you will only be able to book for your check in and check out day. After that you would have to wait until 60 days out for each day so for your first off-site day, you would have to wait 2 days after your first booking day to book that 3rd day. I hope that make sense. You will not be able to book 60 days out from your check in day for the full length of your ticket.

Not sure this is always true. I think the princess platforms are supposed to rotate, although they didn't the day we saw it. We were on the left (if facing the floats coming at you) and only saw Tiana. Luckily I had no idea A&E were on the other side, so DD didn't miss it. DS was hacked that I promised him (as we lined up 45 min before) that the dragon would breathe fire...also didn't happen :(. Parade is AH-mazing, tho!
