Offsite for Universal

Thinking of a quick Mardi Gras Universal trip. I'm eyeing onsite for Express Pass but the cost is $$$. I've been spoiled with our Windsor Hills and Bonnett Creek stays. Is there something comparable to those complexes that's closer to Universal?

From all the searching I've done there is nothing comparable close and from what I understand it is to do with short term rental bylaws in that county (different county than WDW). The closet I could find is Vista Cay which is condo's and isn't too far from Universal and does look quite nice.
