I've always used Walker Mobility and have nothing but good things to say about them. They're always helpful, the scooters hold their battery charge wonderfully, and I really like them. I haven't ever had any problems with them. :) The thing I like best about them is that they provide these little "bonnet" things that you use to cover the controls when it rains. They have no problem with your using the scooter in the rain - you just slip on the little rain bonnet and carry on! You do have to put on your own poncho :rotfl:, but they do have an optional cover for the scooter you can get if you want. I think it would get on my nerves, so I've never used it. The first year we were at Disney, during the Great Monsoon, I would have been grateful for it, but I used Disney ECV's that year.

Thank you.:goodvibes
Did they just leave the scooter at the hotel or did you have to meet up with the delivery? Did you just leave it with bell services upon your departure, for them to pick up?
TIA

It will be there waiting for you at Bell Services when you arrive, and you'll just need to leave it with them when you leave. You can leave it with them early if you don't want pay for the day, or, I believe, you can even do a half day rental (don't quote me!).

I have used Care medical for my ECV. I liked them simply because they have a cloth seat that won't get hot and burn you. They will also leave at bell service and you can return there. Free delivery and pick up

I'll be going with a friend, this fall, who will need an ECV. We're planning on renting one. I haven't checked into the cost. What can we expect to pay? We'll be there for 6 days.About how long does the battery last? As we plan our days I want to make sure she doesn't run out of juice.;)

We just got back from Disney after renting an ECV for two weeks from walker. Pop Century referred them to me, and the price was just right!! I would say what I paid, but since I did days here, updated it for a few more days, and then a whole week, I'm just lost as to the real total price after all that. I can tell you that if you can rent for a week there's a discounted price compared to just a few days, and they were such a wonderful company to deal with!!! We encountered NO problems whatsoever!

Anyhow, I've rented from another company back in 2006 and hated it. We had to switch their chairs out three times in one week for lack of working and of course it would always stop way in the back of different parks, ughhhhh. Our mistake with choosing them back then was we went with what would be the cheapest company to work with. Well, you know the saying, "you get what you pay for"

Needless to say, we started taking my own personal chair from that point on.
However, we didn't take it this time in Jan.-Feb. because we took a train to Florida and found it would just be way too much work!

Anyhow, I REALLY wanted to say that the best advice I can give you for charging the chair/any chair used for most of a day, is exactly what walker will tell you too! Charge it EVERY NIGHT!!!! Also, through out the day turn it off when you're eating or staying put for a few minutes. Lastly, we always carry the charger in our bags because we're the type of people that keep going and going and going from morning until they close (sometimes even until downtown closes)....If you find that it's dying, you can find many outlets available if need be, sometimes you can even find air-conditioned locations to sit and have it charge while enjoying the cool breeze!

Another fan of Walkers here! We always use him when my mom goes with us and have always been very pleased with his ECVs and service.

I have used a couple of places, but will now stick with Walker. The prices are the best I have found. They don't charge you for a whole day if you aren't going to be there for a whole day and any of the others do and that can really be a budget buster, especially if you aren't due to arrive until afternoon and you leave early on the morning of departure.

The girls (Samantha & Crystal) at Walker are so nice and friendly. I recently got an e-mail that said since I had rented from them 5 times, I have become a "gold" member or something like that and my rentals will be less expensive from now on and when you have to get the larger ECV, it can be expensive. I have also gotten e-mails when they have regular specials.

We have never had any trouble with them, except one time the delivery driver was a little late. I was panicked, it was after closing hours but the owner was timely about calling me back and in locating them and keeping me informed.

When I went before, my aide also needed a scooter. She used Randy's. He met us in front of our hotel when we arrived...he emailed a few days earlier to confirm our arrival. My aide then just had to leave the scooter at the front desk of our hotel when we checked out. Ahe called Randy's the day before we left to confirm we were leaving.

Hello everyone and thank you for the kind words. Walker Mobility strives to give every guest excellent service and the best rental gear for your stay here in Orlando. Once again, thank you for your continued business and it's post like these that make us (the staff) feel good.

We rented from Walker Mobility in January, and I have to say that they made everything very easy for us. This was the first time we had to look for a mobility aid, and I did a lot of online research before selecting Walker. Their representatives were professional and friendly, and everything was exactly as advertised. The scooter was waiting for us at BWV, fully charged and ready to go. We will certainly rent from them again if necessary.
