We're arriving at MCO Nov 20, 3:30 PM and have a ressie for a van with Thrifty. I've heard people complain about rental companies not inside the airport - but is it really that big of a deal to get the Thrifty shuttle to their store for renting?
The shuttle run constantly. Incompetence is not a real factor, mechanical breakdowns may be, but, it is highly unlikely. We used to add about 45 min. on to the return time, just to be on the safe side. Never missed a flight, never had a breakdown and always were there on time.keishashadow said:only thing holding me back is the trip back to airport,
not sure how much extra time to allow for shuttle to MCO...would hate to miss flight due to someone else's incompetence.
I realize it's probably not likely, just one more thing to worry about IMO.

Which car rental agencies are available at DTD? We'd be interested in this option. Mousesavers just shows hotels and says there are some agencies.

This way we just take ME and it just takes a few minutes during the mid-day break to pick-up or drop-off the rental. The gas stations are right there so I don't have to worry about the prefill cost or finding a station near the airport.

Thinking of using ME to get to DTD and then pick up the car.
