Offsite bus shuttles

We just returned from a first stay at DTD and were nervous but found the shuttles not bad at all. In fact, we liked them better than the regular WDW-owned shuttles. They were comfortable and never full (2nd week of June). They are scheduled to run every 30 minutes and they did, with the exception of during a heavy thunderstorm. On a return trip after park closing, we were picked up by a DCL bus - I'm not sure why but thought it was cool. :goodvibes

My only complaint was on the return trip the shuttle goes from MK to AK THEN to the resorts. (Not an issue at night since AK is closed by then.) Still, I'd gladly take the extra time versus the often crowded WDW buses.

We only used them to/from MK. It was easy to take the monorail to the TTC then just a short walk to the bus area.

I stayed at a DTD hotel in 2008 and found their shuttles to work nicely. One came every 30 minutes or so and last pick-up's at each park were 1 hour after that park closed. We never waited long for one, never had trouble catching one back, and were sometimes 2 of only 10 people on the shuttle itself!

We stayed at a DTD hotel in December and used the bus system instead of our car. We found it to be convenient and dependable. We caught the 7:25 a.m. bus and got to the parks by the 8:00 opening every day.
