Offsite and EMH?

Should I avoid parks with morning EMH like the plague since I can't partake in the early opening as an offsite guest?

We only have 4 park days (technically 3.5), the last of which I was planning to go to Hollywood Studios before our flight home, but that park has an EMH in the a.m. We've never been there but with so much closed there and no real thrill seekers in the family, I am hoping we can get the main stuff done (Star Tours, Launch Bay, TSMM, Indy, Muppet Vision) between 9:00-1:30.

Will I regret that plan? Do EMH days really impact the crowd? The other alternative is the dedicate a full day to DHS and only have 1.5 days at MK instead of two. I feel like MK has enough to offer to merit two full park days though.

um no... why would you avoid a park? i know we are planning a trip that has early emh just make your fast pass choices for about.. say an hour after park opens that gives you time to get there and into the park!
missing fantastic is a waste of HS in my opinion, id split an MK day and hollywood studios just make mk first and sh second

So your plan now is 2 days at MK, the 1/2 day at HS, and the other day is where? Epcot or Animal Kingdom? When are you going? Did you get FP+ yet?

Depends on when you are going. Yes, EMH raises the attendance at the park. But if you are going at a quiet time of year, that is still pretty manageable (10% on a regular 40% of capacity day is still fine). I would consult one of the crowd level apps to see what is forecast, and go from there. But understand that apps like Undercover Tourist or Unofficial Guide will almost always say EMH is not the BEST park, check the actual predicted crowd level and base your decision on that.

There is no doubt that EMH attracts guests like flies to honey.

Still, with your ride list the only issue I think would be Toy Story, as it will be immediately slammed. Of course, that happens pretty much every day.

If you want to go on Toy Story, I would work hard to get a FP+ or be prepared for a 90+ minute wait

Forgot to include dates....park days are April 28-May 1. 4/28 @Mk; 4/29 @ Epcot; 4/30 @MK; 5/1 @ HS (partial day).

Fantasmic doesn't really interest me so I am not worried about missing that, plus I have a jittery 6 year old who may not enjoy it.

I just looked up the parks again on Touring Plans and it says HS is a 5/10 even though it has EMH. That doesn't sound so bad to me so I am less concerned about going with that plan.

IIRC - Sundays are usually a lower day for DHS, and May shouldn't be too busy. UT is showing an overall crowd level of 6/10 at all parks for the day. Yes, they have red-flagged DHS because of EMH. Actually, I expect they EMH DHS on Sundays to try and draw guests away from the bigger parks. But then Sunday is a transition day for many travellers, and many of those who have just arrived Saturday will be doing the bigger parks first anyway. And international travellers will be staying away in droves thanks to the suffering world currencies. IMO it seems like you will probably do okay at HS on the 1st of May.
