Whew. Ok, first off, is 4 suitcases like, CRAZY too many for 4 people???

DH seems to think so.... but I dunno... I want some VARIETY!


My sis is so pretty We are really close. She's getting married March 1. I, of course, will be making the cake. 4 tiers, with vanilla chocolate chip, french vanilla, double chocolate fudge, and lemon meringue flavors. Chocolate Ganache, bavarian Creme, chocolate ganache and lemon whip fillings, respectivly.

Now, her DF is getting a cupcake tree. 150 cupcakes, with a "stand of trees" cake at the top, with a suspended crescent moon. He wasnts all different pound cakes, they settled on lemon, butter, chocolate, and butter pecan pound cake cupcakes.

HER cake is going to have like, "branches" growing up it, with small 5 petal flowers, a crown of calla lillies and roses on top. 2 little fairies cuddling together is their "topper", but we are going to put it on the BOTTOM of the cake, on top of a little cake treestump. Then we're going to decorate the cake table with greenery and fairy lights....

GEEZ! I got carried away, didn't I?!?!?

I had a great day at work today, the boss never came in until late afternoon. She was somewhere as we'd hear from her but never knew where she was, lol, so it was relaxing and we could laugh and play when we weren't busy. So later in the afternoon she comes in like a whirlwind and I had to do this and that and the other but it wasn't bad. Then she comes out about 10 minutes before 4 PM with a bag of mardi gra beads and other things like funny sunglasses etc. and says lock the door. We said why, are we going to the parade with you? She said yes, we're all going, lock up and we all put on beads and walked up the two blocks to where today's small mardi gra parade was going by. Her husband, daughter and grandson had come in to go to the parade with her but we were shocked when she offered for us to go too. That was so nice, it took a while for the parade to get down to that part of town where we were but we waited, then someone came out of our main building and came up to her and told her they were looking for her and she missed the entire parade. That stunk! It was her little grandson's first parade and she wanted to be there. He's so adorable and we had a blast with him. Then they came by and we got tons of beads and little teddy bears and cups and candy. When it was over we walked back to the office and she came in right behind us. You can't tell me they didn't know what they were doing when they suddenly needed her. They'd called our building like 10 times and no one answered so they came out looking for her at the parade. Then it was time to go home, lol. Great afternoon!

DH was going to rent a Mini Cooper for me but was worried there would just be enough room...DARN!

Cool, I like the trailblazer, lots of room in it for all of you and your luggage!

4 suitcases sounds right.. 1 each.. thats how we went to DL>. 7 suitcases.. and a few bags too.. luckily we drove.. soo... yeha..

I'm very close to being ready. Everything that can be packed is packed. My house is cleaned and I did all of the laundry from the week so I don't come back to dirty clothes!
