***Officially Official September 2017 Thread***

My anxiety is eating me up alive, I feel so bad for anyone stuck in this storm.
Even though my trip is two weeks away, I've been obsessing over this storm. So super worried for them. Why such crazy weather? Three hurricanes, and now Mexico earth quake. May god have mercy on people.

For anybody that is going to be there right after Irma, please come and update with what it's like. I'm on the fence wth our trip. We fly in the 19th. If it's a mess there, I'd rather just postpone our trip. Thank you!

I fly out Saturday afternoon. Supposedly one of the last flights on Southwest. Geez......pray for safety of all.

I can tell you all - the Poly lobby was insane tonight with soooo many ppl checking IN. Yes, IN. A lot of south Florida residents are coming here. I thought the MDE app wasn't working this morning as most rides had no wait times. I called the "front desk" and they said the system was lagging. Turns out 7DMT was 20min wait a lot of today, Thunder Mt was 5min most of the day. I was at Epcot today and Frozen showed a 40min wait, we waited 19 minutes. There were FP+ available all day for Soarin or Test Track. We rode Test Track 4x, Soarin 2x, FEA 3x - and we didn't go to the park until 1:30pm and basically were tired, otherwise we could have done them all many more times.

Thanks so much for the update! I'm glad to hear some good news. Sounds like a fun day at Epcot! Prayers for your flight not being cancelled and a safe return home!:flower3:

No better place to ride out a hurricane than a deluxe resort at Disney World!!
With the more western track the Orlando forecast is looking a little better, well for a hurricane anyway.
As of this morning the Orlando forecast is:
Peak Wind Forecast: 50-60 mph with gusts to 75 mph
Peak Rainfall Amounts: Additional 8-12 inches, with locally higher amounts of 15 to 20 inches
Charlie took an almost exact path and I found this article about the damage to Disney: http://www.themeparkinsider.com/news/response.cfm?ID=1809
I am sure Disney will have all hands on deck after Irma passes. I figure disarray and cleanup for 3 or 4 days and then back to normal operations.
Prayers for Florida

Really hoping these calculations are dead on. We arrive Saturday night. I was there for Charlie. It was scary but parks were reopened the next day (all but AK). Wasn't as big though

I'll be there the 16th- I'll let you know. I can't cancel so as long as they let me through I'm going.

Our September page has gone quiet here....I'm so sad. On another sad note, I just noticed another disturbance forming out there now on the national hurricane center website.:(

I'll try. We are due to arrive on the 16th. Disney is a machine so I'm sure they will be up and running in no time. MCO is another story.

Do you mean Jose?

I'm also due to arrive the 16th. It's hard for me to get excited about it with everything going on

Do you mean Jose? I'm not worried about that one. It will go out to sea.

So I tentatively have new vacation dates depending on what happens. I'm holding a theme park tower room at the contemporary and holding adrs for jan 2-9.

Really hoping it doesn't come to that, but at least I feel better that we'd have the room we want and dining we want.

Same. Normally I'd be bouncing off the walls being a week out. But it just doesn't feel right to get excited about it.

I agree. I would have been packing this weekend. Now I'm waiting until Monday or Tuesday to even think about it. I'm almost in single digits and not even thinking about it.

Trying to keep my head up. I had to reschedule our Sept 10-17 trip to January.

I am still going in September. But not until the 24th. But my husband isn't going on that trip. So the week long vacation with my husband has been put on hold for 4 months. It kind of puts a damper on my trip in two weeks.

I'm sure I will get excited again by next weekend, but since we were suppose to be packing up for a trip tomorrow and instead we are battening down the hatches for our low level winds, I am kind of mopey.

We just arrived back home last night at 11pm after a 19.5 hour drive to NJ. We had to cut our trip short by 2 days because of Irma. Our flight scheduled for tomorrow was cancelled so we got a refund for that at least. We were debating all week of we were going to stay and ride it out or leave early, so we decided to reserve a car to drive home early just to be safe. So sad we had to leave but we wanted to be safe since we had no idea how long we'd be stuck there. We had an amazing trip and the BC even reserved us a room at the YC if we decided to stay. We had 3 rooms, so we are each getting $508 back for 2 nights lost at the resort, 2 days of PH tickets not used will be refunded and I'm not sure how much that will be yet, we have to call. We are getting $803 back from Southwest for our cancelled flight. As much as we loved September last year, this year the heat was awful and we decided to stick with November from now on. The heat/humidity really got to us this year.

Hoping everyone stays safe and enjoys their upcoming trips with no issues.

No, there's another one starting.

We are supposed to leave the 24th. Waiting to tell the kids about the trip until after we see what Irma does to FL. Hoping one of the main boards will have updates on WDW damage, closures, etc. so we can make an informed decision if its worth it or not.
