Official WW thread!

Thanks everyone!:wave2:

Try this site... http://www.dwlz.com :)

Well I switched from South Beach to WW last week and.......when I weighed in on Monday I'm up 3 pounds and I got a sad face when I logged in my weight. :(:(:(

I honestly don't know what happened except perhaps TOM but even today I weighed in and now I"m up 3.2 pounds.

:( :( :( :(

I'm not going to quit though. I"m going to drink a lot of water today and see what happens. I was so discouraged last night that I ate 9 of my flex points which I wanted to save for the weekend. I"m hoping this is just a fluke or that it's the result of switching from lowcarb to WW.

Thanks Bunnyfoo, that was the one. That's a great site. Lots of point info on there.

Bostonlass- Don't be discouraged. Hang in there. This is my first week of WW and I'm hoping that on Friday I see the numbers on the scale go down. This is my second attempt at WW so far this year. The first time I didn't lose much the first week and I quit! Imagine how much I could have lost by now if I would have just hung on a little longer. My DH is doing WW with me (at home) and he said if he didn't lose 5 pounds in a day he was quitting. Aren't men ridiculous. Well it's day 2 for him and 1 pound gone. It works for millions of people. Hopefully it will work for you and us too. Good luck!

Down two pounds today (I know I shouldn't weigh daily but I was freakin') so I feel much better.

Anyone know how many points in corned beef?

:bounce: :bounce:

Hello,

I've been gone from this site for awhile but now I'm back.

While I was gone;
I joined WW(I'm on week 9)
made it to onderland
said goodbye to 14lbs
have said hello to my new dress size of 14(ok well 14 bottoms, 16 top)

Thanks Kim! I was expecting to use up the remainder of my flex points on last night's dinner but surprisingly enough I only used 3!!!! I had corned beef n cabbage and two Killian red's and it really wasn't too too bad of a night.

I'm so excited each day when I wake up and know that I didn't blow it! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

For those who are just starting WW - welcome!! Please don't give up too quickly on the program. Every person is different and loses at different rates. It is healthier to lose slow and steady, than to quickly lose and then quicly gain. Stick with it, and modify it for how it works for your body. You will see results.

Feel free to post questions here, many of us have been working the plan for a long time and can find answers if you can't on your own, and it is a nice support method in addition to attending the meetings.

Keep up the good work!!!!

Jen

How do you all track your points? In detail recording everything you eat, quick track-just cross of the points you use, on line, with a PDA (what software do you use)?

I've been recording in detail but it can be a chore some days.

Thanks for sharing.

I use WW online so, I plan my day ahead of time, plug in all my anticipated food choices/meals/drinks and, print it out to use as my guide for the day. At the end of the day, I go back and make any changes, delete food I didn't eat, etc. and, re-print for my records. When I was on vacation this past week, I printed out blank day planners and wrote EVERYTHING in and, after I returned, I plugged everything in and it counted my points for those 4 days.

Hi there, I wanted to bump this thread up because I just started Weight Watchers online today, and I'm looking for some inspiration. I've been checking out different diets for a few months now, and I've decided this one will offer me the flexibility I need. I just don't think I could give up carbs and/or sweets forever.

I'd appreciate any tips, especially low-point sweet treats (and I don't like fruit very much). I'm only allowed to have 20 points per day.

Strawberries with whipped cream = 1.5 pts
Edy's sugar free ice cream with Splenda 1/2 cup = 2 pts
WW choc fudge bar 1 pt
2 small homemade choc chip cookies = 2 pts

I know there are other options out there. Maybe post this question separately on the board to get more answers.
I'm doing WW online as well. It is easy to follow. I WISH you much success!:teeth:

More low point treats:

Jello Fat Free pudding cup=2 pts.
Barry's Bakery French Twist 1 = 1 pt. (These strips of puff pastry with cinnamon & sugar)
Blue Bunny Ice Cream Sandwich 1=2 pts.

This post might help with some other ideas:What is in your WW Pantry?

Hope this helps! :D

Thanks, guys! I got through today alright, I know it's only 1 day, but it's a big deal to me because I have NO willpower. I sure hope counting points gets easier after awhile. It seems pretty labor-intensive right now. I love the online tools, though (points calsulator, recipe finder and builder, etc.).

Good for you, WilmaBud! The first day is the hardest! The sailing will get much smoother from here! :boat: You'll do great!! :D

Decided yesterday to start WW again on Monday (tomorrow) woke up today and said nope starting today!

So I started on Easter Sunday! and I am so okay with leaving the candy alone!

Plan on posting here lots.

I am doing WW at home. May do meetings but right now my schedule is tight. And I would rather take that time and work out.

Looking forward to knowing all of you!

Ok I'm not a ww member yet but I am planning on going today (Monday Ap 12) They are having a promo for free registration this week.. I went in last Thursday to sign up and found out about the promo this week (and they didn't have any open meeting slots that I could make)so my plan is to go this evening before work.

After looking at the times they have meetings, I don't know how offten I'll be able to make it. Between my work schedulle, and the kids theres not a lot of fee time. Has anyone else came across this problem. And if so does it work if you are not able to make it to a meeting every week? I figured with the free registration its worth a try.

I look forward to hearing everyones stories and getting the needed support.

Welcome and good for you, Disneyforme04!! Starting on Easter shows how determined you are!! I like your style! :D

Scrapperjill, I know a lot of people at my meeting come and weigh in and don't stay for the meeting. That might work for you on the weeks that your schedule doesn't permit you to stay. I really like the meetings, though. There are a lot of support and good tips at the meetings. Work schedules are tough to rearrange, but maybe you could work it out for someone to watch the kids during meeting time. Another possibility might be WeightWatchers Online program. I don't know a lot about it, but I know we have several WISH'ers who do this. Maybe one of them will be along to fill you in!:D

Yesterday I went to my first meeting and got the starter packet. Everyone at the meeting seemed friendly and nice, but the subject of the meeting had me wondering what it had to do with weight loss. She talked alot about clutter, deligating, and house work. But at least I got my packet and am started on an improved me.
