Official Wine & Dine 2014

lol Sorry!

I'd check with runDisney on whether or not the C2C works that way, in terms of being able to get a pink one and a blue one in one year; my reading of the C2C page was that you could only qualify for one C2C per year, regardless of color. . . might help provide a counter argument to my previous post. . .

This year you can get both the pink and blue C2C medals. You just have to run another pair of races (one on each coast) in addition to Tink & Princess. From the RunDisney webpage:

Only in 2014 can runners earn each version of the Coast to Coast Race Challenge medal. Each race can only count once towards a Coast to Coast Race Challenge medal. To earn both medals in 2014, four races – two on each coast – must be completed. For any runners participating in an eligible Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend event, the Tinker Bell Half Marathon and the Disney Princess Half Marathon in 2014, runDisney will email you in advance to see which version of the Coast to Coast Race Challenge Medal you prefer to receive.

Yep! "Also in 2014, participants who complete the Tinker Bell Half Marathon, Disney Princess Half Marathon, and another eligible pair of Disneyland Resort & Walt Disney World Resort races will be eligible to receive the original Coast to Coast Race Challenge medal in addition to the pink version of the Coast to Coast Race Challenge medal."

Disney site going crazy? trying to sign up but all the links on the run disney site are leading to dead ends... any ideas?

FYI - the disney visa discount is working now. Now I wish I would have waited to register and saved the $15...oh, well.

I registered myself for the Half and 5K and my DH for the 5k. Thank you Disney Visa discount! Now, to figure out how to pay for the flight and hotel.:rolleyes2 Three trips to WDW in one year may indicate a mild case of Run Disney addiction.

All registered! I'm SO excited...been wanting to do this race since its first year and I'm so glad I'm finally officially doing it.

I registered for the 5K as well...had some doubts right before I clicked "pay now" but I know I'll be fine!

We're in!!! Had to sign 6 people up today a lot of entering in info. Now to decide which hotel to stay at.

Courtney:sulley:

How do I register my kids for the 5K? When I put their info in it says you have to be 14 to have an Active membership. I'm confused.

All signed up!! This will be my first half. I am signed up to do ToT as well. I'm terrified, but feeling determined. I am about 100lbs over weight, after losing 30lbs, but completing the enchanted 10k has helped me set better goals. I can't wait to have that medal around my neck. :)

I was too anxious to wait for the Visa discount but if it was just $15, I can live with it. :goodvibes Besides, since I stay at a non-Disney DTD hotel, I save a boatload on hotel fees which adds up to...wait for it....MORE TIME AT DISNEY! Whoop! Whoop! :rotfl2: :cool1: :cheer2:

No worries! It is SO much fun!! Plus you have plenty of time to train. :thumbsup2

So happy all I had to do today was order after-party tix for my support crew. Make sure if you guys are even considering it, order the tickets now! Right up until the last minute last year, people were waffling on whether or not to get them, and ended up missing out. It seems like a big waste of money to not take advantage of something that's included in your reg. fee. Especially since the party rocks! :jumping1:

Rose-are you planning on staying at SSR again this year?

I got my dh registered for the half, me for the 5k, our hotel booked and the after-party tickets purchased. But I can not figure out how to register my 13 year old and my 11 year old for the 5k. Can anyone tell me how I can register minors for the race? Thanks.

I'm all regsitered for the half, now I just need to figure out the rest of the details of the trip like what the exact days I am going down there are and where to stay.

I wish I could get into the site to look at the info for the ticket discount.

the 13 year old should be fine to register with their name and their birthdate, the 11 year old, use your birthday.

Officially signed up for the half today :cool1:

This will be my first race after having my baby girl this May -- should be interesting!!

Thanks. I finally figured out that I needed to get out of my active.com account. Once I logged out of it, I could register them. They certainly don't make registering for these events very easy. It would be nice to just add everybody in one time and have to pay one fee. This entering in everyone separately was a pain.

I know there is little correlation between the ToT and the W&D but the ToT just hit 73% full on the 21st day of registration. If you are on the fence or waiting for a bonus/paycheck/gift keep an eye on the website. I actually think (it's crazy I know) that there is a huge undertow drawing folks to running two halves in two weeks when there is the added perk of the C2C. I am fairly sure the Avenger will bolt out of the gate and fill within hours. I wonder how that will affect the W&D.

I'm officially in for both the 5km and the half! Am I crazy! I am so looking forward to my coast to coast medal!

I'm super excited - I have the Lululemon Half in August then this - perfectly paced so I can stay motivated.

What hotel do you stay at? I'm on my own, so I am trying to be careful with not overspending. With the food and wine fest, I'll definitely partake in a bit of the park madness as well!
