Official Wine and Dine 2016 thread

I saw on facebook that people were plugging in bibs to find their numbers. I started, but was thinking big waste of time. Then I randomly found myself after 2 min! I submitted a 2:40 time and while looking at dark side half corrals for reference, my bib would put me in corral F. So looks so far like there might not be huge changes to the corrals as we feared.

I looked at the map (10k only). For those Run Disney veterans can you tell me what the orange numbers on the map are? Will they have entertainment for the Epcot Drive sections? I think since it starts and ends at Epcot it will make it easier for my mom and spectators that want to see the start and finish.

So, I found myself 20116 what would that mean?

The orange numbers are kilometers.
As for entertainment, there is usually someone cheering from the overpass (exit from Epcot's parking lot which we run under for the 10K but is part of this year's half course). Maybe something between mile 2 and mile 3...most course entertainment will be within the park. Depending upon where y'all are staying, they may just want to amble out (from Boardwalk, Swan, Dolphin, Yacht or Beach Club) and see you there.

If you have spectators or are going to chEar for the half, these might be some options for you.

**Note: The McDonalds option is probably not sanctioned by runDisney and the Animal Kingdom Parking lot may be inaccessible due to road closurers.**

I started trying to find my number and got bored. I guess I'll just wait! ;)
yeah me too, I have no idea where to start looking. My brother found his but his is a way smaller number than mine will be. Patience...patience....so hard...

I looked at the Dark Side corrals and sort of started there and lasted about 2 minutes. :upsidedow

Best way to do it is to compare yourself to someone else's provided proof of time and start based on that! 2:40 POT for the half has me in the 4200's. I saw a 2:30 POT that was in the 2400's

So when looking at the map is the 'time check' by the 5k mark the sweep point or are there more then one for the 10k? RD virgin

Also if I'm getting to the world around 2-3 ish should I check in then expo or vice versa in your opinions

Wow, definitely not the course map I expected to see for the half. I agree that RunDisney really missed an opportunity by not including a World Showcase loop when it would have fit so well into the theme and there's no after party crowd to deal with. However, I'm going to try and give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that maybe they tried but the mileage just didn't work out (haha, yeah right - who am I kidding?). But I understand the disappointment from people, especially those who are doing the half but not the challenge. The park time is very minimal and is going to be over in a flash, and there's not even the Boardwalk resort area anymore. :( I wish the half had more of that - there better be lots of course entertainment on those back roads to liven it up a bit. I am really glad to be doing the challenge, so we still get the Boardwalk and World Showcase loop in the 10K, as expected. While I can see repeat 10Kers being a bit bummed out by the lack of originality, I'm thrilled that that course is the same as January/Princess. It's high on the list of my favorite parts of WDW, and it makes sense to have the Wine and Dine 10K at Epcot.

Anyway, I'm not going to let the little bit of disappointment get in the way of the excitement. We'll still be in Disney, and as long as we actually get to run the whole course, I'll be happy! I was so sad to miss Animal Kingdom last year.

Now just anxiously awaiting to find out bib numbers! If I get bored over the weekend, I may try the plug and chug method to try and find mine.
