The reason for this is that the WIIWARE games are made many times by little companies. They choose to ONLY release the game in one area at a time. (japan has many games we in the US and UK do not.) (why spend more money if it doesn't sell one place first)

The other reason is that it takes time to localize the games. It may not seem like a big deal between the US an Uk, but it can be espically if the maker wants to add options to have the game in different languages.

Lastly Nintendo makes sure that only a x number of games are put onto the system at any given time (MS and sony do the same with thier download services)

I'm sure you'll get it, it will just take time. The order of release for most games is Japan a few months before US, and the Us a few months before UK.

NO current date listed for UK launch however.

I was wondering about something.
Why is it that some games are on the Wii Shop Channel in the U.S but not the UK?
There is this game called Lit (I think)
Which I really want.
Is there any news if it will come out over here?

Is anyone thinking about buying Sports Active this week? I already have a Wii Fit, but I like that this has different workout programs and it seems like much less waiting time between activities. Are there any deals for it, or is it a standard $60? I think I missed out on the trade in deal at Gamestop.

Nah, I'm not interested in it at all....Punchout however is a different story. Dont have the cash to go buy it this week, but in the near future I'll be getting it. I also can't wait for Tigerwood (with the motion plus) and Wii Sports (2) resort witht he motion plus.

Well, I bought it the day it came out. I like it so much more than the Wii Fit for actually working out and breaking a sweat. The Wii Fit is fun, Sports Active is a good workout tool. I did two workouts then I got sick so I missed yesterday and today's workouts. I am hoping to get back at it tomorrow.

I'm predicting a mew Pikmin, possible Mario and zelda also announced.......lastly my fingers are crossed for the Kid Icarus game we all thought was coming last year.

After the Microsoft announcement of the XBox "Project Natal" (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/projectnatal/), it will take a lot to 'Wow' anybody. Even if you don't have or care about xbox, you should check out the video. It is pretty wild.

Nintendo did announce Super Mario Bros Wii (2009), Wii Fit Plus (2009), Virtual Plus Tennis (w/Motion Plus), and Super Mario Galaxy: 2 (2010?). They also announced a "Vitality Sensor" that reads your pulse through a finger clamp that connects to the wiimote. I didn't see anything that you mentioned

obviously I'm extremely delayed on this!! lol Been busy getting the babies room together and wrappign up the school year.

Anway New Super Mario Wii(4player), Mario Galaxy 2, All NEw Metroid (looks awesome!!), new Zelda Spirit Tracks (ds), a Zelda Wii image teaser was released.

As for project Natal...ho hum...looks cool in a way then the more I watch it I notice the chick is pretty much just flailing around trying to hit the balls....and we learned that with sony's eye toy that camera control does not work. Not to mention no release date or price makes me think 1) it's a long way off and 2) really expensive...not to mention MS didn't allow any press to even attempt to use it....same thing with sony's motion controls.


On another note.....if you like GOlf go get Tiger Wood 10 with the motion plus (for and extra $10) it's the last golf game you will ever need to buy...closest to the real thing yet..and gettign the motion plus for 10 bucks off is alwso great.

Does any one no for the WII if I have Guitar hero World Tour instruments if I can use Rockband 2 Disc and be able to play the game? I have tried searching and there are so many diffrent awnsers i was just wondering if anyone has done it and it worked.My husband is getting board with the same songs and was hoping this will work.

But I can tell you with pretty clear certainty that the answer is no. They are incompatible either way, you'd have to have both full sets to play both games.

These two companies HATE each other. The team from Rock Band actually split from the team from GH to make the new company. So they do their best to make things incompatable.

Sorry I haven't been on this thread in a long while. Just haven't had much time to play the Wii in the past months because of work. Super excited for Wii Sports Resort and The New Super Mario Bros Wii. I have recieves a bunch of new games in the past months, but haven't had much time to review them. Also a quick reminder for all of you Club Nintendo People make sure you have registered all you games on the Club Nintendo Site the year ends June 30th! and you need to be in gold or platinum status to recieve your prize!

Last year Japan got a Gold Wii Wheel for Gold and Platinum Customers got that and a Gold Classic Controller. The would be pretty cool.

Will have to look into that. Does it cost to join Club Nintendo?

Anyone use Wii Active regularly? Not sure if I want this or not. I would like to do some exercises w/bands but just don't know if I want to do them in the family room on the wii in front of everyone else who may want to watch the tv or are using the pc in the room.

Any more news on a Zelda game?

I read where a Zelda game came out on the virtual console, any thoughts on this? If my DS liked other Zelda would he like this one?

I think at this point all the zelda games have been released on the downloadable content site. Majora's Mask and Ocarina of time are the 2 from the N64 and if your son enjoyed twilight princess he should enjoy both of the others. (all be it dated in the graphics department) Wind Waker was the Gamecube Zelda (and can be bought on disc only still) and is a fantastic game. The older Zeldas (the original and Links awakening) look well like classic nintendo and snes games but are still fin onoe the less.

The newsest Zelda is set to arrive on the DS around X-mas time...can't think of the name off the top of my head..somethign tracks....loks to use the windwaker/last Zelda DS graphics and build around useing a trian to cover lots of ground in hyrule.

A new Zelda for Wii was announced at E3 but all we got was a painted teaser poster, and a hint that you may only be able to play it with the motion plus...the game is due out sometime in 2010.(x-mas is my guess)


As for EA active, can't tell ya a whole lot other then I've heard it is a lot more intense then wii fit...much more like a real workout.
