Just joining this thread now that I've signed up for Goofy!
My neice and I will be doing it together.
We need lots of advice and stories!
Also, what plans do you use.
I've used Hal Higdon's since I started doing halves. I have many under my belt now!
Can't wait to see you all there!
P.S. Is "Dopey" adding the 5K family race?
Welcome and Do It! The medal is a great one this year for the 5k. In the alternative, we run 3-5 miles at OKW on Friday morning (usually BWV). It's a great time.
As far as plans, the Higdon plan is more than adequate for the Goofy.

And I'd be curious to know what your training plan is. I'm sort of following Galloway's plan. My long run is up to 7 miles.

J/K...I'm definitely doing something Higdon-like, just not completely sure how exactly I want it laid out. I don't want to burn out during training, but I want to be prepared for the weekend at the same time. 
Sounds like a fun weekend. You guys will be easy to pick out since everyone will be going down those stairs backwards.
