Official thread to keep track of GTY cabins ASSIGNED

#1. What category GTY cabin did you book? 9C
#2. What category and room # did you get? 9C/Wonder 2504
#3. How many days before the cruise were you assigned your room? 56
#4. Are you happy with your assignment or do you feel like you got a "leftover"- undesirable room/location? Eh, I don't have a right to be unhappy - it was the assigned GTY category, but had I booked a room myself I probably would not have booked that particular one.
#5. If you booked more than one room, are they close together? No - granted, we are only "linked" to my parents cabin, we did not book them together or at the same time. But they are 3 floors and an entire ship (forward vs aft) away.
#7. What day of the week was you cabin assigned. Hmm - I think a Wed or Thurs.
8. What time of day was your cabin assigned? Not sure.
9. What month is your cruise? April

You will like the room! We had 2016 last year on the Magic and I wanted either 2004 or 2504 for our Hawaiian cruise this year. We asked to take a peek in it (2004) as they started allowing guests into their rooms. It was huge compared to our room. Enough room to put a pack n play beside the bed and sofa. Can't wait to cruise in 2504. Please let me know how the sofa bed is if you use it. I couldn't sleep on the one we had on the Magic, it was too firm and my mom ended up sleeping on it because I couldn't. Was planning on sleeping on it this time but now they are replacing the sofa beds on the Wonder.

I was a bit worried that deck 2 was kind of far from things, but I did not find that on the Magic (might be on the Fantasy/Dream). As you can see I booked again on deck 2.

Wondering the same thing. I am cruising in May and we are around 56 or 57 days out (not positive of the exact number) so I am hoping we get an assignment soon.

We are cruising May 8 on the Dream, GTY 5E, and received our room assignment this past Monday, at the 60-day mark. We were given a category 5D room.

Now I am jealous. We are leaving May 8 and don't have an assignment yet. Hopefully it will be any day now.

Question (and figured this might be the best thread) - our reservation is a 5E GTY. We're thinking that we would like to upgrade at port.

If you get a room assignment after booking GTY, are you still allowed to upgrade at the port? Or is that only for "regular" reservations? Thanks :)

#1. What category GTY cabin did you book? 7A (We booked Military Rate - we booked 21 Feb)
#2. What category and room # did you get? 5B, Stateroom 8032
#3. How many days before the cruise were you assigned your room? 11
#4. Are you happy with your assignment or do you feel like you got a "leftover"- undesirable room/location? I'm good with it...I would have preferred a Deluxe Family stateroom but I'm very happy with the forward location.

#1. What category GTY cabin did you book? 7A
#2. What category and room # did you get? 4E, Room 5160
#3. How many days before the cruise were you assigned your room? 51
#4. Are you happy with your assignment or do you feel like you got a "leftover"- undesirable room/location? I am pleased, its an upgrade from what I paid for. We originally were booked in an 8D four rooms down from this per the suggestion of our TA. I saw the chance to get a 7A for the same price as the 8D and went for it. So now I am basically in a balcony, almost the same location as my TA recommended, for the same cost as the oceanview. (I am a little nervous about whether Deck 5 will be noisy with the kids clubs)

You can upgrade if the ship is not sold out. We had a GTY and upgraded at the port for a bedroom for $900.

Waiting and watching for my May cruise cabin number.popcorn::

We too We too!! :) May 16th cruise...hoped the 56 day mark might be the sweet spot...but looks like we'll be checking together! :) Can't wait, I don't know why having a room number makes it seem official, but it does :) Good luck!! Can't wait to see what everyone uncovers :)

If you added your email to the 'notification' page on the Planning Center, you would think they'd let you know...but I think not many are saying that happens. You have to go onto Disney Cruise.com and go to your 'My Reservations Summary' page...the room number should be listed there when you get it assigned :)
