Ok, they cram three days into a one hour show with 16 minutes of commercials. Maybe Cerie did try to help him but it got edited out. Maybe she did make an assessment but Bruce decided to wait it out. Even the non-medically trained wre saying "Dude, you can't poop. That's not good."

Maybe before the pain got really, really bad, Bruce was chalking it up to basic constipation due to a weird diet. Maybe the discomfort was similar to something he experienced before that ended up being basic constipation.

Maybe there's a rule about participants rendering medical aid to other participants (to this degree). Bruce's problem was way more significant than Shane's chafing problem.

What can cause a blockage like that anyway? Both his colon and bladder were blocked - how does that happen?

Terry actually smiled- I couldn't believe it.

I took his smile differently. I thought it was more of an "oh I can't believe this" or "great, what else will happen" since Bruce was the most likely person from Casaya to flip for Terry. I think he might smile a happy smile for Shane or Aras, but I think he really liked Bruce.

That is how I took his smile. Like "Man can't I catch a break". I think Bruce was surprised to see how quicky he was taken out at the challenge and Terry was going to use that to get him to vote with him.

I can't imagine Cirie not trying to help Bruce if she could- I mean what more is there that you can do for someone besides say, "You need to really up your water intake?"

And I think Terry smiled probably like thinking, "Unbelievable! I can't believe my one semi-ally is now out of the game....." Or maybe he thought, "Wow....I didn't have to try and win immunity today..." I think terry thinks quite highly of Bruce and was NOT smiling because he was glad he was gone because of illness.

Shane just grosses me out. Nuff said.

I'm curious about the Aras/Cirie thing as well. It looked like they were snuggling pretty closely in the shelter.

I bet Cirie is still playing the girl alliance too and we're just not being shown much of that.

I didn't think Terry stood a chance of winning this thing even he made it to the final two. I'm not so sure anymore.
Courtney was so confident that she would be a sure win if she went up against Terry in the final two. I wonder how she's feeling about that now after seeing the votes played out in the reward challenge.

It's been such a Casaya love fest up to this point, but I'm thinking the Casya crumble could get really ugly!
Bring it on... I'm ready for a little shake-up!

Too bad about Bruce. It's gotta be tough to have to leave like that. Even if he didn't realize it before, he had to know that he was the first Casaya on the chopping block after the challenge though, I doubt that he would have been around for much longer.

I've gotten the impression that Cerie isn't really into the whole "I'm a nurse" thing and would rather not have to do her "job" while she was playing Survivor. Shane practically forced her to help him, and I agree that there was no indication that she tried more than anyone else to help Bruce.

I love Cirie, I think she's really funny and played Shane like a violin last night. I'm rooting for Cirie, Terry and Aras. I think there's a "hidden alliance" that involves Cirie/Aras/Danielle, I'd like to them in the final 4 with Terry.

I was bummed to see Bruce leave, I really liked him.

Unlike a lot of DISers, I do not like Cirie. I'm sick of her smug interviews where all she can do is laugh at everyone's misfortunes. You can tell a great deal about a person by what they find amusing. (No, I'm not talking about the Shane incident.)

My thoughts exactly. Why would Cirie even like Shane after he told her (in the beginning) "I don't care which of you goes first because you're both going -1, 2". He was talking to Cirie and the woman w/ short blonde hair - I forget her name.

Here's a thought that I had. When Jeff came to tell everyone about Bruce, he said that they hoped he would be well enough to be at the next tribal council as a jury member. What if his recuperation takes longer than they expect and he can't come back at all? That would make an even number of people on the jury, setting up the possibility of a tie vote. Would they invite the last person voted off before the jury was started to be a jury member? And if so, how long would they wait before doing that?

I couldn't believe that when I heard it. Shane's been so nasty to her the entire time they've been together. Of course... Courtney's seen Shane naked, and maybe he's got some attributes that we haven't seen yet.
