OMG I thoroughly cannot stand him.

I thought the "medical emergency" was on tonight's episode...guess not. :confused3

No there was no helicopter or medical emergency. Bruce was cut (very minor) with the machete. He didn't even require medical treatment. Or at least they didn't show it.

The first 10 minutes bascially showed Courtney ticked off at Shane for kind of pushing her out of the shelter and she got wet. Then showed the La Mina tribe getting a new boat with directions to Casaya beach for a merger.

Ugh, I was so hoping that Shane would have gone tonight. I can't stand him. I'm really surprised that Bruce stuck with Casaya.

Oh my GOD!!!!

Could someone please tell what Cirie and Bruce think will happen if their alliance (cough) gets them to the final 6...They will be the 1st ones to go...Why are they not PLAYING THE GAME.... :sad2:

I miss the days of Rob, Lex and others who PLAYED Survivor and were not just there for the ride...

Ok, vent over...

Can someone explain how the immunity idol works? I mean take tonight for instance, if Terry had given it to Nick would there be a revote and now Nick (with the idol) and Terry (with winning the challenge) are immune or does the next highest vote getter meaning Shane tonight get booted. Also since I assume we haven't been told the rules (I might have missed them) do the players themselves know the rules.

I am upset that Nick is gone. Terry should have let him win the immunity then they would most likely have voted for Terry to go and he could have whipped out his idol and voted for shane to leave. The other people would be lost without shane he's there leader. Then they would have had the numbers.

The way the idol works is whoever has it and is voted to leave he gets to pick who gets to leave so even if shane didn't have the second place votes he could have picked him to go home. Jeff explained it to us at the start of the game.

Terry said he wanted to save it for possibly being one of the last four. I agree with you he should have let Nick win.

I think he should have let Nick win too, then everyone would have voted Terry and he could have pulled out the idol to get rid of Shane.
Shane is gonna be rallying BIG time to get rid of Terry the first chance he gets because his name was on a few votes !

Great thinking!!!! Too bad Terry did not do that; I can't stand Shane. What a creep! And...shame on Bruce for going with the majority; Cassai (however you spell it) were so mean to him while he was in camp with them! I thought he would vote with his first group of friends. :confused3

Not totally right. If the vote had been between Terry and Shane, with Terry getting the most votes, then he could pull out the idol and then Shane would have gone home, because he had the second highest votes. Terry would not have picked the person to go home.

But I'm glad that Terry is still there I am hoping he will be able to pull it off and win the whole thing. I and I think he should work for every one of the IC and win. That way he will never have to use the idol until the final four, if needed. I can't believe that they are showing in the previews for next week that has opened his mouth and told everyone that he has the idol. And then it shows him offering it up to one of those pathetic girls (the dancer), WHY??? He has to know that every one on that tribe is gunning for him, why show all his cards??

There is no reason to think second-place goes home in case of the immunity idol. There are only 16 castaways this year, so they need to eliminate two less than previous seasons. One will be covered by not voting out two in the same week. The other presumably will come from no one getting voted out one week, and that would perhaps be due to the use of the Exile Island immunity idol.

As someone pointed out, I am not sure if Terry realizes the entire impact he Immunity Idol has. I know he needs to try to hold onto it to get him close to the F4, but, last night would of spun the game in their favor, and helped give them the numbers. Nick would of stayed, Shane the 'A' would of gone home, and the numbers are now 4/4 with the biggest jerk of them all gone.

Now, the numbers are 6/3 even if Terry pulls out the Idol to save himself, and Shane goes home, the numbers would then be 5/3.

I know he is thinking he can use it as a bribe, but the play last night, giving it to Nick would of been the most powerful.

I say this as I am nice and warm and comfortable and not hungry in my own home. Who knows how my brain would be working out in the game.

ETA: why didn't Bruce swing? I swear, the editing messes with us. To us, the 6 of them are a huge dysfunctional family. I thought for sure as soon as the merge happened, Bruce and Ceri would of jumped, going by what we have be seeing the past few weeks. Bruce just guaranteed himself #6, IF he is lucky, and Shane doesn't decide to get rid of him sooner. He would of had #5 with Terry and gang. Same with Ceri.

It boggles my mind when someone like Shane ends up in a power position. Can you imagine what it must be like to work with the guy? YUCK.

I think I remember Jeff explaining how the Immunity Idol works, and he does say that the person with the next highest number of votes would go home in their place.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure I'd have remembered him saying that.

I remember Jeff saying that the one with the 2nd highest amount of votes goes home if the Immunity Idol is used.

I thought Terry should have given it to Nick last night and saved him - SHane would have gone home and the ball would be in their court!

It will be interesting to see what he does with it now.

Yep, that's exactly what he said. Shane would've went home last night if Terry had given it to Nick.

I remember that too. He said that it's different from last season in that this season you can save it until after the vote. Then the person with the second highest votes goes home.

Yeah it would have been cool if Terry had played it up yesterday and then Shane would have gone home. I think it needed to be done sooner than later. And since when is Shane the leader of the tribe? Doesn't everyone hate him? Last week the girls were ready to vote him off. :confused3

Why oh why did Bruce not vote for Shane.

I can't understand why nobody turned on Shane, just a couple of days ago he was gone. Well they had thier chance and they still would have had the numbers. It would have been 5 / 4. And they would have gotten rid of a WACKO.

And what was with Austin spilling the beans on his own plan to look weak at T.C. last night.

I think Terry was smart not to ue it. Even if Shane had gone home, La Mina didn't have the votes-it would have been 5 vs 4. And Terry would have gotten the boot next week anyway if he didn't win the immunity.

As for Cirie staying, that's the smartest move for her too. There's already an understanding between the girls to get Shane out at first opportunity, and they know that as long as Shane's there he's going to be the target for the old La Mina Team. So they pick off the guys one by one. If they can use La Mina to get out Austin and Shane they're home free, they'll have the strongest numbers, if they can stick together.
