Official thread for The Bachelor

No surprise to hear Trista talking about trying to get pregnant. Even when she proposed on her Bachelorette, didn't she tell Ryan that she wanted to make babies! And, we all know that so many couples experience infertility. To be honest. Trista is so very thin, I have seen shots of her that almost look anorexic. (not saying she is...) But, perhaps being as thin as she is is contributing to the difficulty. I have always heard that very thin or athletic girls can be affected this way. :confused3

About Moana and the other girls. Yes, I think that the dynamic with a group of girls has a LOT to do with it!!! Moana frequently was off to herself, and did not participate in the girls pajama-party antics. And, I think it all went on from there. This has been the case several times before, where one girl would be like "I am here for the guy, or the show, and not to make friends with a dozen other girls" and this is the one who is instantly villainized.

Other than taking her shot at hogging some time with Travis, I don't think I have seen any other specific things that she has said or done.

I do not think that Moana is crazy... But, issues... definitely!!!! One second she will be one way, and then the complete opposit the next. Not just on her change of heart about Travis either. She does have issues, and is what I might call unstable??? However, on her best of times, I think that Moana is a REMARKABLE girl!!!! From some personal experience with somebody that I know very well, I can see how her self-serving overbearing judgmental Dad has contributed to her issues. I think if she could leave that behind, she could go far!

I feel like Moana is just as much of a "player" as Susan. She's just a little better at not looking for the camera. It was all I could do to keep from laughing out loud with the whole "you make me complete" comments. Geez, they've know each other how long?

Susan would crack us up because everytime she was making one of her "sincere" speeches to Travis, she would always glance sideways to make sure the camera was on.

I guess what it comes down to for me with every edition of the Bachelor/Bachelorette is why can't these charming, beautiful people find someone on their own? There's got to be a reason!

My thoughts exactly!!! :rotfl2:

First time to this thread...
Last year I watched because I am in love with Charlie O'Connell's brother and thought I would get to see a bit of Jerry...It was a trashy season.

This year I watched because it was PARIS and I am planning a trip there for DH and I.

I was glad to see that Travis seems to have manners and grace about him. I could not for the life of me figure out his choices. They seemed to varied. One student, one ditz, one teacher, an actress and a bad girl or mystery...

but they are his choices...

I just hope he picks Sarah because I think she is a good person and would have the same values as he does but he might pick with his pants and go for Moana...

I can't put my finger on it but everytime I see Moana, I see someone who has to have what is in front of her...I think she would have FALLEN for any bachelor...Just my opinion... :scratchin

I just meant I was suprised she admitted to difficulty having a baby on Bachelor clips to be aired. No that she was having any problems or was trying. I remember her wanting babies.

I swear I'm not on the Moana Fan Club, but I wanted to make one more statement about her making such a huge turn-around in her feelings.

That can happen that fast. I fell in love with my DH on our second date. I knew without a DOUBT that he was the one for me. I think we'd spent a total of six hours together.

If someone would have asked me my opinion of my DH after our first date, I would have probably said, "He's nice. I had a good time, but I'm not planning on getting into a long-term relationship anytime soon.".

The next day I would have said, "Something strange is happening! I think I fell in love tonight!". I'm sure I had a lot of people thinking I'd flipped my lid.

He felt the same thing I did. It was one of the strangest things that has ever happened to either of us. We married three months after we met and we're celebrating our 3rd anniversary soon.

BTW, I met my DH on match.com and no, I didn't visit the fantasy suite. :thumbsup2

Was alcohol involved? :teeth:

I'm so sorry...I just couldn't resist.

Actually, your story is very sweet.

I knew the minute my DH walked into the office where I worked that he was going to be the one...and that was 20 years ago!

I knew there was something I left out! No - I didn't have a producer making sure I always had a drink in my hand. :rotfl2:

Ain't that the truth! Have you ever seen so many boozers in your life? It always kind of aggravates me that everything they do involves alcohol. It would be really funny if they had this really hot bachelor that showed up for the first "greet and gawk" and announced he was a non-drinker. I bet those highballs would hit the sink before the ice could melt!

I really like the idea of a "dry" Bachelor - but it would never happen. The producers know that when the alcohol flows, so does the drama. They nearly go hand in hand. But has anybody noticed that you rarely see Travis drink ALOT or Sarah or Moana. Yes, they have the token glass of wine in their hand, but I haven't seen these three get out of hand. Can't wait for the meet the parents; these are two very different girls. Love to see his parents reaction.

Oh yeah, there'd be a lot of NON-drinkers all of the sudden! Drunk girl wouldn't have lasted one night.

Another show where the drinks flow big-time - MTV's Real World.

That show is the worst at casting instigators!

this last season was soooo intollerable for me...all they did was drink themselves into a stupor for goodness sakes!!! ICK!!

I did watch the reunion show, thinking they maybe sobered up by then...was suprised to see Wes and Johanna together...

I haven't watched it regularly since Vegas. I watched a little bit of Austin, but I can't stand MTV's loooooooong commercial breaks! It drives me nuts!

I still think San Francisco was the best season. Remember Puck??? :crazy2:

I would love to see a casual version of the bachelor.... ditch all of the studio make up and expensive clothes. Be real and be casual and enjoy each other's company.

Back to Moana.... I agree with a lot of what other posters have said.... the bawling on national TV was a little much.... what's up with that monster tatoo?.... and as a Dr.'s wife, don't you think she would have to get along in groups? She is going to have to share Travis with everyone else in his life, and I personally don't think she could handle that at all.

I'm curious. When was your first kiss? It wasn't until our first kiss (second date) that I knew my DHtb was really special.

Edited to add: We met on match too!

Remember Puck??? :scared1: He was sooooooooooo gross!

Ryan did seem out of it when they interviewed him and Trista. You could tell he totally hates being in the public eye.

This is a good point. I'm marrying a physician next month and I can see how this aspect of his job could potentially bring challenges to a relationship. I'm not quite sure why but physicians as a whole seem to get so much attention - especially from nurses and drug reps.

I'm not married to a physician, but I understand exactly what you're talking about.

I'm married to a firefighter and a very good-looking one at that. Tall, dark, handsome and in a uniform to boot.

We wives, call the women that go for them, hose bunnies.

Sometimes it's a struggle for me to not worry (although I have no reason to) and it's the nurses that make me the most nervous. I can't even begin to tell you how many FF's are married to nurses and paramedics.

You do have to be strong when it comes to that.
