Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

Assuming the line is the same set up as past years, do NOT head towards Star Tours since the line will already be forming. Instead walk to his line passing ABC Commissary. You'll spot his queue on your left hand side shortly after you pass the Idol audition spot. There is a break in his queue where the side walk breaks to allow people to pass by.

Thanks for the heads up on this! Change of route!

Maxed at 200 for the premium viewing spots. 160 through the Feel the Force package and 40 through the Ultimate Star Wars package.

I knew these things would sell out pretty quick.

Even with it only being 200 I plan to check in early for my Feel the Force package cause that is still alot of people crammed into one area.

You can go to the information desk any weekend and ask for the celebrity picture pre signed from weekends that have passed.... not sure if you can actually ask for ones for celebs still to come, but I've gotten every one from the people that have already been there

Wait wait, you are saying we can get autographs without having to get up at 3 in the morning and waiting in line????

Im also booked up for Feel the Force, D-Tech (surprise for my partner), Rebel Rendevous and both SWW themed dining.. Phew..

Although, I am hoping that Feel the Force VIP area will have enough room for us to see the parade, as having little child with us, he maybe in a stroller

So, if anyone else is attending May 16th Feel the Force, please make room for me and my 2 yr old.. :rolleyes1:dance3:

Is it really only 3 weeks away :cool1:

Same here. My only plan that morning is to see Chewie at rope drop and then be there early for the parade check-in. If I can find another shorter character line or ride Star Tours with a reasonable standby, I might do that. all of our FP+'s for that day are after the parade and we are going earlier in the week for the Character breakfast, JTA for my son, and to actually focus on the rides. My only focus on this day is the Star Wars experiences themselves. Anything else is just icing on the cake.

I'm in a similar boat. Get in line for Chewie as soon as park opens, then try for the Darth's. May try to see the parade, but probably won't, lol.

Yes, they have pre signed black and white pictures for anyone who ask for them

Random question, we have a *regular* Sci-Fi reservation at 12:10pm. Are the Star Wars characters going to be finished wandering by then? I don't care if we meet them there (we have two days to meet whoever!), what I'm concerned about is the kids SEEING them and then not being able to meet while while they head to other tables if that makes sense? It would make for some very bummed out kiddos and if that's the case I may just cancel the lunch, though I was looking forward to some cool down time.

I'm sure there will be a turn around period between breakfast and lunch, they'll probably move the backgrounds, change the movie on screen, etc. You will not see any characters during your lunch

Did anyone else doing the Star Wars breakfast at Sci-Fi get a "special" email today from Hollywood Studios Food and Beverage wanting to "confirm" their reservation? I got one this afternoon stating:

"Thank you for choosing to dine with us during your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World® Resort.

We are looking forward to hosting you and your party and would like to confirm your dining reservation. You are booked to attend the “Star Wars” Dine-In Galactic Breakfast! at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. This unique Character dining experience includes classic “Star Wars” movie characters and various scenes from the films."

If you would like to make changes to your reservation, or have concerns, please contact us at 407-WDW-DINE (407) 939 – 3463, 7:00a.m.–11:00p.m., EST. A member of our DINE Team will assist you."

The email also included all of my specific reservation information. Never received anything like this before no matter what special event I have booked. :confused3

I didn't get that one, but did get one for our Jedi Mickey’s “Star Wars” Dinner at Hollywood & Vine Restaurant. It had the same info as your's. I wondered why we didn't get one for the breakfast and just the dinner. More so, I wonder why we got them at all?

Hmm. I have booked the H&V dinner and did not get one of these emails. However, I never got a booking confirmation email, in the first place. I was thinking that was likely due to my calling (along with seemingly everyone else!) the first morning these were available to reserve, and that with all the "traffic" I just didn't get an email confirm. It shows up in MDE and I have a confirmation number, so I am feeling fine that I have an ADR, but now I'm a twinge nervous. Maybe since I didn't get an email initially, I'm not on the email list? :confused3

Contact your local 501st, there should be an online form to fill out to request an appearance. I would think this is something the wish granter would do?

Thank you!! I'm just helping her out. She had no idea the 501st even existed. I'm making pool noodle lightsabers for the occasion ;)

I got one too. So far, just for the breakfast.

Yep, I got one too. Maybe they want to make sure people know it is a Star Wars theme? I know that they have called people who booked H&V before the character meal was announced to make sure they knew it was now Star Wars and to see if they wanted to cancel. Of course, Sci Fi is not open for breakfast normally, but I guess people could have booked it without knowing the theme.

I wouldn't worry about it. It's on your MDE with a Confirmation # which means it's in the Dining system. You won't have a problem but you can always take a screenshot of your reservation.

R2MK is one of the characters I am missing from getting photo ops with...

And with the SciFi breakfast my Boba Fett pic will happen.

I know I will be using the heck out of the Kenny The Pirate app to see who I can catch that I didn't get last year.

Me too! I hope somehow Kenny can figure out the characters and the schedules ahead of time, since I will be there the first day.

Ok, so between all the Star Wars hoopla and the Dine with an Imagineer lunch I booked today, I decided to cancel my FP+ for that Friday to make sure I'm not stuck somewhere and what not. I decided to match the ticket I was using for that day to my CM friend so we can have the same FP for out mk day (except Anna and Elsa which is out, again). So much going on!!! Lol only 2 more weeks!!

Yep, I just did exactly that. I actually took a screen shot of all our ADRs and FP+ bookings just for peace of mind. I think I'll make a tiny laminated card to bring with me with all the ADR times, confirm #s, and FP+ windows. :scratchin I don't know how anyone can remember exactly when these FP+s are booked for without either bringing some form of hard copy or checking in at a kiosk. Given what I've heard about the lines at these kiosks already (never mind what Monday will bring once they begin allowing the 4th FP+!), I want to try to avoid those if possible! :crazy2:

If you have the app, everything is listed under My Plans for each specific day. You can take a screenshot and save to Photos or email it to yourself so that it's in more than one place if MDE is running slowly in the parks.
