Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

A bit unrelated but the Disney Store is having a May the Fourth be With You event in stores, here's the flyer as posted by Inside the Magic

On a side note I know we are all anxious to see the full list of celebs and activities keep in mind that Dsney has never released that list more than 3 weeks in advance and we don't get the map until the week of the first weekend. So this is not unusual. We should have the celebrity list by the end of next week

I remember most years finding out the schedule that first Friday of SWW. Loved that we got to see it in advance the last couple years.

I am a planning wreck who knows nothing re: StarWars but lives with fans and we are going to our first SWW :scared1:

Thanks for the post that schedules aren't usually out yet - this takes some pressure off. I still have some questions and I have only read part of this huge thread. Do you experienced SWW folks think it's likely, possible, or no-way that FP+ may be available for some SWW premier theater shows? I am so worried that we won't get to enjoy the shows because we will be there for Mark H and the place will be crazy - I don't want crazy and would prefer some unpopular pseudo-celebrity so I wasn't in a panic anticipating crowds :rolleyes1
We currently have a FP+ for Fantasmic and want to leave as soon as the show is over and rush to get a glimpse (I know a good spot would be impossible at this time) of the fireworks - is this possible and, if so, how?

FP+ for the shows at the Premiere Theater is a strong possibility. Mark Hamill weekend will be crazy but there will be other shows where he's not in so those will be easier to get with or without FP+.
As for F! sit somewhere toward the top of the theater, closer to the exit and as soon as it's done walk fast out of there. I'm not sure how well the view will be from Sunset Blvd. because of the several building that are there.

If you can go to Fantasmic for seating at least an hour before showtime, go in as Standby and not Fp+. Standby sits on the right side of the amphitheater where the first show exits. Sit close to the very top of a section and as soon as Sorcerer Mickey appears on the top of the mountain, start making your way out of the amphitheater.

If you use your Fp+, you will be in the seating area on the left side of the amphitheater. So, a little more difficult to make a mad dash as many people will be doing the same.

And, it all will be dependent upon which route they unload the show. On busy days, the guests walk through the backstage area and enter the park near the gas station/stroller rental area near the front gates. Another unloading route is backstage and exits onto the street next to Beauty and the Beast.

I would still suggest planning on the 2nd Fantasmic show that night rather than the 1st Fant.

I agree with Itinkso...if you can go to the second show it'll be better

Here is some more breakfast info with photos on Kennythepirate.com:
***the link to the photos is at the end of his post***

http://kennythepirate.com/2014/04/2...-eating-for-the-star-wars-villains-breakfast/

I jusr re-read this and it's funny how each plate has a description of what that Star Wars name means...like when they talk about the Ackbar plate they explain who Ackbar is...this is def. taken by a CM directly from the binder about how to make each plate and I hope the person that did this doesn't get in trouble...
Another thing is that we might see information coming out after Thursday since that's when all these VIP's will have breakfast to possibly discuss SWW and other SW related projects. So I expect some information will come out Friday or next week.

We just booked our D-Tech Me experience during our trip. My husband is excited.

Also: If you're looking into getting one, the lady told me it's $99.95 for the Storm trooper and $15.95 shipping.

Hubby and I have been making shirts for Star Wars Weekend on Skreened- fun site to design shirts.

We already have Darth Vader with Mickey ears that says "I find your lack of Disney Magic Disturbing" (My favorite) and one with the stormtrooper vinylmation that says "little trooper" for our sons. I think I want to make another one with "darth mickey" that says "the disney magic is strong with this one". Too fun!

Any other ideas for Disney Star Wars shirts?

Cute! My DD has one that is a Lego SW shirt. Has C3PO and R2D2 and a hand waving. Says "These are not the droids you are looking for!":thumbsup2

Ooo- I like it- I might need to find that or remake one

I think I saw a similar one that I want to remake:
It has Darth Mickey (as I call him) and it says
"I am the Father" in star wars font

I want to make it for DH but I'm not sure if he will wear it.

So I need some help. We are going to our first SWW on June 15 (yes the last day but that's the soonest we can get there due to us driving from California and can't leave until our kids get out of school on June 12.) My oldest DS loves to do Jedi training at DL and now wants to do it at DHS. I know we can sign up that morning (so much nicer than DL where you have to go to the show and hope you get picked which my son has been lucky to have been picked 4 out of 5 times that he's wanted to do the show). But my fear is since it's the last day of SWW the park is going to be insanely crowded and we might have issues getting a time that will work for us. We have both the breakfast and dinner already scheduled so we'll be able to at least meet the characters that matter to us with little wait. I guess my question is would you try to do Jedi training the last day of SWW or do it on our next day back to DHS (the following weekend)? We are excited for this trip and hope the drive there doesn't take too much of a toll on me and DH.

Sandra, I'm so sorry I forgot to get back to you yesterday. Took Ds for his lesson and planned to get back after. I think it's best on your noon-SWW day. That way you can try to catch shows at the Premiere Theatre and other SWW stuff. After all, you're making a cross county road trip to get ds and dh to that one day of SWW!!
