For the first weekend we are planning to go on the Sunday, would the first Friday be a better bet as far as crowds go? :confused3

Hard to know what to do.

:wave2: Pirate Kenny - I have a Samsung Galaxy 3 and I just bought and downloaded the app. Can't wait to use it during SWW! Been looking at it, very nicely laid out.

Thank you for your efforts!

Hard to know what to do.

The first Friday draws crowds mainly for merchandise, also a lot of podcast/fansites are there to take videos and/or pictures of everything. Sunday will have the regular guests plus some locals that can't go Friday because of work/school.
The question of which day is better comes up often and I always say: th 3 days are pretty much the same, maybe Saturday is the busiest of the 3 but it's not a huge difference

I just ordered another set of boots/boats (I noticed I typed boats at first, maybe my subconscious was doing the typing :lmao:), I am extremely hopeful for two things; one I hope they get here in time, and two and most important they fit!!! If the force is with me a partial Mara Jade costume will be at SWW at least 1 of the 5 days :) Depends on how HOT it is how long I can stand the costume.

I do swear I don't know how you folks march in the heat! That's the one thing I would like to hear about, not only reactions both yours and of the crowds but also how the march went for you personally. So Ash and 501st Disney Trooper I (and maybe the rest of us) would :lovestruc to hear details!

...in the afternoon there are the 3 main shows at Premiere Theater: Behind the Force, Stars of the Saga and Obi Wan and Beyond se people just stay in that area of the park and the tent becomes less busy.

Sorry if this has been answered, but I went through the last twenty pages of posts and either missed this or it actually hasn't been asked. So based on the SWW show blurb there are three main shows (pasted the blurb below). Based on yulinlin3's answer to a merchandise post, last year's shows were in the Premiere Theatre. Is there a line up for these shows? Or is there lots of room in the theatre?

Thanks!

Cheers!

Roehl

A trio of specialty “one-man shows” will be presented this year, giving guests a peek into the on- and off-screen worlds of three Star Wars celebrities — James Arnold Taylor, Ray Park and Warwick Davis.
• “Obi-Wan & Beyond” (each event day) stars James Arnold Taylor. James takes audiences on a journey into his wonderful world of voice acting.
• “Visit to the Maul” (Weekends I and II) features Ray Park. Guests can see a demonstration of amazing martial arts skills by the actor who portrayed Darth Maul on the silver screen.
• “An Ewok’s Tale – my short story” (Weekends II and III) stars Warwick Davis. Guests get a unique look into the fascinating world of this Star Wars legend.

Actually there's two more shows at Premiere Theater: the Behind the Force- Star Wars Voices and Stars of the Saga Q&A.
Yes, there's a line for the Premiere Theater , it's directly in front of the theater (it's actually the extended queue for Muppetvision 3D). And you must get there at least 45min to an hour before the show for the Visit to the Maul, Stars of the Saga and since the Ewok's Tale is a new show I believe it'll also be very popular.

I don't think you have to get there that early for STOTS. Last year I got there a little before they were letting people in and I got a stadium seat in the back (not the bleachers)

It depends on the guests that are there, I expect the weekend that Tim Rose is there it'll be very popular, better safe than sorry since there's only one show a day

guesstimating on the times given I would think that
Behind the Force-Star Wars Voices is going to be at 1:45pm
Obi Wan and Beyond at 4:45pm
Visit to the Maul 6pm
like last years schedule.

Yulilin3, you rock! Thanks for that "current" schedule a couple of posts back. And going to sound like a real newb here, but do they let people video the shows or is that a complete non-starter?

And now if I could just figure out how to get kennythepirate's app to work, I am going to be set.

Cheers!

 WAIT, WOAH, WHAT!?!

Ray Parks is only doing ONE Autograph session!?!? :faint:

I'm a pin collector and I was looking for some clarification on merchandise.

Are there two pins for SWW? A SWW one and then one for each specific weekend? Are these something I need to wait in line for first thing in the morning, or if I wait until later in the afternoon will there still be some?

We're going the Sunday of the first weekend.

Thanks for all the help! This thread is amazing!:thumbsup2

In the past you've been able to record everything, the only one that they asked not to record was during the Behind the Force shows they would show sneak peek of the upcoming Clone Wars season, since that show's been cancel, I'm sure they'll let you record everything...if not they'll have an announcement beforehand

I really hope that is wrong for attendees sake. That is going to be ugly.

Agreed, I also hope that they're missing info on this, one Ray Park session will be hard to get into. I'll keep checking and post if I find anything else.

That's what I was thinking because we were already going to be there in line for 5:30, now I am thinking :scratchin that isn't even early enough! :faint:

Last year, we got in line for 5 for Ray Park. We were in the last 5 people for his morning session. I would expect that with only one session, 5 would not even be early enough, due to his popularity. I'd say bring coffee and donuts, a chair, and be there for 4 at the latest. Yes, I may be panicky and overly cautious, but, I would likely be doing the same, if I had not gotten it last year.

Thank you Yulilin, :worship: this will be extremely important for my planning! Out of all the guests for weekend one and two Ray Parks is my BF NUMBER 1 Priority! :faint:

To be honest I don't think thats crazy at all, especially if you/PP intend on hopping on the merch line after that.

I wish I was joining all of you- I'd bring some Dunkin Donuts! Instead I am stuck in NJ. Have fun! Make sure you all come back and post pictures on here.

Would love to see you in costume. Mine is a glorified suit, but without a dress shirt. Being a lawyer in New Orleans, I'm used to that during the summer, so, the heat does not really bother me. Plus, the parade is not going to be that long. THe guys in the armor, especially the black armor of a TIE pilot or Imperial Gunner will ahve it the worst. Trapped in plastic for an hour or more in direct beating sunlight with limited access to water. I feel for them. I really do.

You will get a full report after the event. It may take me a week or so to fully digest it and get it written up.

Ash
