DS17 is trying to talk us into going to DW to meet Billy Dee Williams, and is willing to give up his high school graduation to do it (June 8th). Needless to say, we will be staying home that weekend, but would have loved to meet Lando!!

May the power of the force always and really come to you in the morning mist, during the full moon, when the sky is clear, and the rain is falling on your already dry head, with your wet curls.:confused3

Crazycatlady you might want to check local scifi conventions. I know he is going to upstate NY in the summer so maybe near you

Will I really need to be there at 4am to get an autograph for Billy Dee Williams...We dont have to be in the first group but this will be the first day of our vacation and dont really want to be tired all week.

I would suspect so. Last year I was in line for 5 AM for Ray Park, and our fast pass was for the end of his first autograph session. After we arrived in line, it did not take long for the line to stretch much farther. The upshot is that once you get the FP, you can do whatever until the time for the autograph, and, with some planning, work it out to get to bed earlier that night.

In my experience, one early morning will not ruin you for the rest of a trip, unless you push it to the max every day after that one big early start.

When he came, I think it was 2010 , I got in line at 4:30am and got a standby ( not guaranteed) we got to meet him but just barely

My DH has decided he is getting in line at midnight. Lol I convinced him that was early enough but I don't think he believed me.

What time do they actually starting handing out FPs?

Or do they give you a number to line up?

Help! I haven't been to SWW for at least 5 yrs. Where do you line up? I will have had foot surgery in be in an ECV. Will it be accessible? How do I get there so early/ middle of the night from VWL? Buses don't go there in the middle of the night?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated?
