I'm guessing the rebel alliance is something I would just Internet search?

I would love to see Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen :flower3:, or Samuel L. Jackson.

Hayden Christensen RUINED two of the films, he is the dark side.

Jake Lloyd has been there in the past. I have a picture of him in a car during the parade.

Jake was there this past summer.

I'm torn - I doubt I'll be able to make more than 2 days of SWW 2013. DR and the kids are going to come down early once school is out so hopefully they will get some extra time, but we're doing Aulani this summer June 2-9. I guess its not a bad reason to miss SWW, but I still hate it!

We saw Ashley Eckstein at DAK a couple of weekends ago. She was with her whole family going the back way onto Safari as we were walking out. I was the only one who noticed her out of my family - I wanted to say something, but I didn't. Everyone deserves time with their family! I saw on JAT's fb page that she will be hosting with him again. Truth is they do a great job!

I am really wanting the one where she is preggo, the white leggings, boots, and brown dress/shirt. I think its called the Mustafar costume.

I am prob going May 11-21, but I will change depending on celebrities, but I am assuming no BIG celebs ever make it.....
When do the celebs usually get announced?

depends who you consider big. I met Billy Dee Williams 3 years ago I think it was. I don't think Carrie Fisher will ever be invited back. Harrison Ford never does any SW stuff. I don't know about Mark Hamill. It really does depend on who you consider to be a big star...some of the most interesting characters aren't necessarily household names.

Harrison Ford doesn't even allow there to be a Han Solo character available for meets and greets.

It is strange too - I just read an interview the other day where he said he would love to do something with episode 7 and future franchise possibilities. I didn't snopes it, but it wasn't anything that screamed fake or rumor starting in terms of the source. I'd have to look it up to remember what it was, but it struck me as funny since he won't do anything for SW.

He was in town here over the summer making a movie and I thought about going down to the stadium where they were filming to stalk him and big for an autograph - lol!

My family is in for our first ever SWW.

I booked our trip over Memorial Day figuring SWW would run and it did.

DS is already looking forward to the weekend. He's asked me to make him some Star Wars shorts and a button down shirt so he's dressed for the event without having to wear a full costume.

Question though... we arrive at 10am Sunday (May 26). How much ground will we be able to cover if we hit DHS around 2-3p? I'm not banking on getting any autographs from talent (we're not that big of fans), but was wondering how some of the costumed character waits would be and when the likelihood of Hyperspace Hoopla will run?

We have a 5:45p F! package at MM that night and I'm curious if I need to move it.

This will be my daughter's and my first SWW! We are excited, but undecided about which weekend to attend, either the first or the last. Any suggestions? Pros and cons for both? Is a lot of merchandise gone by the last weekend? We do like to shop. :)

Thanks!

Any ideas for things to wear? I figured I'd better get started sewing.

Maybe do a bunch of little Jedi's, and a Princess Leia. Or you could have the kids pick each of their favorite characters....

Maybe you can do some sort of theme? My family is doing Anakin, Padme, and a little Ewok (even though I wanted baby Leia) lol

Between 2pm and 6 you might be able to catch one of the shows and see a couple characters or do some shopping.

At that time of day, the popular characters will probably be about an hour or so wait.

Hoopla will probably be at 8pm, weather permitting.

Sub question... how long does Hoopla last?

About 30 minutes, it's been known to start late due to weather. Once last year it was completely cancelled.

The LE merchandise sells quick. There will be plenty of other merchandise the last weekend and it's not uncommon to see some kind of merchandise mark down the last weekend. I guess it just depends on what kind of merchandise you are looking for. We saw lots of mugs, glasses, and t-shirs left the last weekend.

The first weekend, first day, shopping is pretty intense. We arrived at 10am and the queue to get in was 2 hours long. We will be there at opening this year!

The weather will be humid and hot, with a shower or two during the day. So something not too hot and that won't get ruined by rain.

So if we have the F! package, and I've been told to line up 45 minutes ahead of time (8:15), would we be safe watching all of Hoopla? Arrive at the F! theater around 8:35p??

Do they only put out the LE merch only on Friday/Saturday/Sunday like MVMCP and MNSSHP?

Hopefully someone else can answer your question about F!. I haven't been to that show in years, so I really don't know.

How they handle the LE merchandise seems to vary from year to year and event to event. I think last year it was on a first come first serve basis. Once it was all sold, that was it. Again, maybe someone who bought LE merchandise last year can enlighten us?

In order to get into Darth's Mall, all people stand in line, which forms back by RNR. I got in about an hour after RD on day 1 last year and waited for about 2 hours.

Everyone has to stand in the line, regardless of whether or not they want the LE merchandise. Once inside the tent, if you want LE items, you stay in the line, if you want something else, you can get out and shop. I did the majority of line standing while the wife takes the kid to see characters, they then go in with me, and go to the general merchandise area while I wait in the LE line.

Then they leave me with a ton of crap in my hands, while I stand in the LE and cashier lines.

Are you seeing a trend?

There is limits to the amount of each limited item you can buy, but all of it can be found on ebay about an hour after park opening if that tells you anything.

So is ALL the SWW merch in Darth's Mall, or can a few things be had without standing in line for an hour plus?? I'm not sure I'll waste touring time standing in line to buy stuff.... :(. We're fans, but I'd rather have a pic with Jedi Mickey than a SWW t-shirt, KWIM?

I got there after rope drop on the first day, the line was insane, but by the time I got out, there was hardly any line at all.

Don't go immediatly if you don't want the LE stuff and you'll be fine.

They also have a lot of the non-LE stuff at Tattooine traders at Star Tours, but usually you have to ride the ride first before being allowed to enter, because it's a mobscene as well.

Lol, I see a trend and it's the same way it works in our family too. Although last year, was the first time we were too "late" getting to the merchandise.

We got in this queue, but waited 5 minutes before we decided not to wait 2 hours. This was around 10am-ish

A SWW shirt isn't considered a limited edition item. Those will be plentiful and available in a variety of locations, including outside the turnstiles. But they are only available during the event.
