Official Star Wars Weekends 2013 Tips and Tricks

How early do people start getting in line for the shows/demonstrations? Are there any scheduled for this year? Are they hard to get into?

Also, if we will be there the Sunday of the first weekend will all the limited edition stuff be gone? (I am mainly looking for pins.)

LE merchandise is hard to predict...you might still find some LE things, I know last year I bought the last Chewbacca lanyard during weekend 3 (I actually think someone had just returned it), but you never know for sure. A lot of big companies (Collectibles, ETC) send people the first Friday and buy as many LE stuff as allowed.
This is the schedule of the shows from last year. The most popular ones are Visit to the Maul and Stars of the Saga, you have to line up 1 hour before for both shows, the rest you can line up 30min. prior and be fine
Behind the Force: 11:00am & 1:45pm
Stars of the Saga: 3:15pm
Obi-Wan and Beyond: 4:45pm
Visit to the Maul: 6:00pm

This new show is going to throw last years schedule off for sure for weekend 2, unless they only do 1 Behind the Force. Not sure at what time it'll be. It will also probably screw with the celebrity autograph sessions for Ray Park and Warwick Davis...I'll keep checking.
We should have a schedule by Mondaqy if not earlier.

I'm still trying to figure out what will be LE merchandise and regular merchandise. Is there some place that shows which is which?

In the past the Disney Parks Blog has made an announcement on what will be LE and the size of the editions...sorry I don't have more info on that

And kudos to yulilin3 for the comment about the blog, because it triggered my memory that there was an announcement in late March.

Sorry, this is the best I can contribute so far to the information that everyone has been so gracious to share. There is a mix of solid information to check with Disney merchandise later to no answers given, because it seems that the Communications Manager has forgotten the blog.

Interesting to see that the Vinylmations are not being released on Opening day for the most part. Only Star Wars Series 3 is being released. All the rest are being released over the rest of the weekends with the Carbonite one not being released until the LAST weekend.

Looks like times have changed for some of the regular shows. (looking at disneyworld.com right now)

Lights, Motors, Action on SWW days appear to be: 11:50, 2:45 and 5:30

Then, starting on the 24th, there is a 10 am show too (Indy).

I still haven't seen anyone mention how early to get in line for merchandise prior to the park opening on the first day of SWW.

My wife and I are very interested in the LE merchandise and want to make sure we get what we want before poachers snatch it all up.

Does anyone have any firsthand experience they can share?

At first we were thinking being there by 5:30, but I feel like that is a little late and the line may already be getting long. So we are thinking getting there by 5. But we have nothing to go on the gauge this.

Anyone? Has anyone noticed how long the line is at 5, 5:30, 6?

My husband just made a reservation for DTech for the first weekend...he is VERY excited. He's not a big souvenir person (I am!!) so I'm glad he's found something so cool that he will love!! It'll be pretty cool to see him as a stormtrooper..lol!
