Sorry for the repeat post, I didn't see the previous post. That is how long I was on hold!

Thanks for post you can't make your reservation yet, I was on hold for about 5 minutes when I read your posts stating you can't.

Disney usually doesn't disappoint me in such ways, it's terrible to see them that disorganized! You make an announcement and give a number you better have your act together! :furious:

I'll try later this afternoon, IF and when I am able to make my reservation I'll be sure to let you know.

My only debate now is, carbonite or stormtrooper, carbonite or stormtrooper?!?! :confused3 I can't decide!!!!

No, they said they are not able to take reservations and didn't know when they would be able to take them. They said the blog was advertisement for it being there this year but they weren't ready yet. I agree with you, why put the phone # on the blog now if you can't make the reservation???

Thanks Sunrise Student, please let me know. They also said that the reservation will reserve the spot, you will be able to select which pose you want at the park.

Exactly!!! I mean come on people SWW is less than 11 days till opening (and if you were wondering yes I actually have a count down clock sitting on my desk top till my flight on May 17th :lmao:) Of course people are going to try to make reservations now for May 17th and so on!

:confused3 You don't pick your time when you make your reservation!?!? Oh that's too weird. :confused3

When I make my reservation I promise to post a detailed description of the transaction and what they tell me. :coffee:

We leave in 6 days and I need a reservation before then. They better get their stuff together.

No, sorry for the confusion, you will pick the time but you don't have to decide which style you wanted (carbon freeze or stormtrooper).

Oh that is kewl, because I am still tossing that one around. I will still promise to post a full description of the process i go through while on the phone to make my reservation.

Sadly I will not be there for any of the SWW, but definitely want the Star Wars-themed Cars cars.

Does anyone know if I can call the WDW merchandise # and order them over the phone or are the products only available in-person?

TIA!

I called 407-939-8324 12:46 Eastern Time, was told that I would be helped within 9 minutes. Unlike the first time I called this time there was actually music playing while I was on hold. The hold was really only 5 minutes.

:goodvibes They are taking reservations now! Woot Woot! :goodvibes

When I called they just started so I have an 8:30 appointment for my boyfriend and myself for Saturday May 18th.

They ask that you check in 10 minutes early. The check-in is over by where Darth Maul is set up, by Rock n’ Roller Coaster.

If you are already in the system they will have your address and information, I have reservations at the Swan BUT I was in the system already for my ADRs and other things already.

She did ask for my credit card information at this time but we will pay when we actually do the D-Tech.

She explained that you will be required to have no face gear on and very little to no makeup for the experience, so those that dress in costume for SWW or like a lot of makeup be forewarned. (Good thing I am wearing my R2 dress that day and will not be wearing a lot of makeup!)

She warned me that you will not get the item at the event that it will be shipped to your home in 4 to 6 weeks. She also stated there would be a shipping fee, cost depending on your home location.

Good luck everyone… I hope this helped :)

remember to cancel your reservations if you're not able to make it, they will charge you for no-show

Yup! They warned me of that when they took the credit card information. It is a 25 dollar no show cancellation fee if you do not cancel 48 hours before your appointment!

We are planning on being there 1st weekend May 17th probably, maybe the 18th?. If we wanted to meet Ray Park, what time would we need to get to DHS by? Originally didn't think this was going to be even possible, but rental car rates went way down a few days ago so looks like we are renting a car and can get there before buses run. We have done SWW before (this is our 3rd time) but have never tried to meet an actor.

Thanks!

Jennifer

Ray Park is very popular. I would try and get there no later than 5:30 am.

Thank you The Sunrise Student, I made a reservation for my husband on May 17th. It was suppose to be a surprise, with options this year I am going to tell him this week. Besides I am bad about keeping secrets. :)

Or Billy Dee Williams?

As far as the Carbon Freeze Me or Stormtrooper, is it worth it?

Oh my goodness Billy Dee Williams isn't there on the weekends that I am going but I am thinking that one has to be VERY VERY POPULAR, will be anxious to here the times for him, even if I am not going to see him.

As for the D-Tech, not sure, haven't done it yet myself, but it looks like way too much kewlness to pass up! When I first heard about the Carbonite Freeze Experience I was on pins and needles waiting to see if it was coming to SWW this year. With the new capabilities of 3D printers these days I figure it should look pretty close to the pictures they take of you. (I am a Network Engineer/IT Professional, I drool over the advances in 3D printing all the time!)

If you go out to you tube there are videos of people getting it done, but confess haven't seen real people product pics yet. I would love to see people post some end product pictures... Anyone happen to have them?
