I can't believe how fast this trip is sneaking up on us! I'm excited but definitely don't feel ready yet.

Has there been any other information released regarding the D-tech Me offerings this year? I heard rumblings of Carbon Freeze Me again but I'm really interested in the Stormtrooper...seems like they are cutting it pretty close if they haven't announced anything yet.

I'd love to know too!

My first day at the SWW will be the first Sunday of that weekend. What are the odds of the limited merchandise being available? More specifically, the Salacious Crumb and such, which I know has a limited run...

The most limited and highly demanded merch is bought (and often sold on ebay) on the first Friday. Hundreds of people will wait in line for hours early in the day to purchase. Lines in the afternoon are much less, but so is the selection. I ride and meet characters while they buy stuff.

You're welcome, that's why I do it! I just wish Disney would see the need to publish the character schedules for SWW, MNSSHP and MVMCP rather than have people bugging the busy Character Attendants all day long.

I've asked myself this question as well. I have a couple of friends who are "friends" of different characters and the reason why they don't post specific times is that they don't want to dissapoint guests.
There are plenty of things that can go wrong with a character on any given day, they spill something on themselves or a guest accidentally does, they're outfit can get ripped, the "character" can get sick and not be able to come out, etc. It's a kind of thing where they don't know what can happen and they don't want to have a specific time for a certain character to come out just in case something does happen.

I know it's a lame excuse but that's the only one they got.

The fun part is that it gives people like you and I a chance to help out...I love going to the parks and scouring for information.

Yes they could, just choose not to. It's just easier to not help guests and have them bug the CM all day who has the full schedule in their pocket.

Arrived about 10 minutes ago, the line for Jedi Mickey, Leia and R2MK and Chewbacca are about 45 minutes long... asked about Chip and Dale as ewoks and they said they are scheduled to come out during sww and they might have their own line... star tours has been done for about 2 hours...it's very busy...stormtroopers were marching down Hollywood blvd when we came in.

I am currently standing in a two hour line just to buy a tshirt for limited time magic May the Fourth Be With You. This is not a magical experience. If they are going to sell merchandise for these events, they need to have it available in several locations. This is ridiculous! Come on Disney, get it together! If May 4th wasn't my son's birthday, I would NOT be in this crazy line!!

Question do the stormtroopers get on top of the hollywood entrance each morning at opening or just on the first day of the the kick off for the star wars weekends. My husband was there like 5 years ago and said that is how they started the day he was there, we will be there for 2 weekends this year

Not sure if you got a reply or not. Yes the storm troopers are there at the entrance of Hollywood Studios. Know that they are there before the park opens and for a little bit after it opens. We were there last year about 7:00 a.m. and they were out.

That's our plan too! Ride and meet characters on Friday and save the shopping for Saturday or Sunday. Hope to see you there!

How can you find out what is going to be the limited edition merchandise and what will most likely be available later in the day on Fri? I would like to know if there is something I'm really willing to stand in line to buy or not.

The same people would own an even larger share of the merch then. Pins for example, are often bought up by 6-10 people in each group just to resale them.

Sounds like they underestimated the popularity May the 4th would be. The same thing happened with the booster packs for Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom when they first came available. Quietly they ended up selling them at other merchandise locations. Perhaps they did that throughout the day?

By the time I left (around 4pm) the only shirts left were Revenge of the Fifth...I didn't ask for the May the Fourth though so you could try...I walked by Tattooine Traders and the store next to Backlot Tour and they didn't have any May the Fourth merchandise...I can't understand how Disney is always unprepared for these events.
