Official Star Wars Weekends 2013 Tips and Tricks

Wow, that's kind of useless considering there are 36 Star Wars characters meeting. Would need at least 2 to fit everyone. Glad I didn't buy it. I LOVE the idea of it but... not for that price and that amount of pages.

I got 21 signatures in mine, with the Blister pack 3 of them signed on the same page, the Jedi Council (except Anakin) all signed on the same page, a stormtrooper and clone trooper on one page, Luke and Leia on one, and the Fetts shared a page as well. I really like the concept, but more pages please. I ended up skipping autographs on the Jawas, the Gamorrean Guard, as well as Mickey and friends and chip and dale. It's a nice book and I don't regret getting it though.

So I just got home and I'm worn out from the past two days (for the two nights we were in Orlando, I got about 7 hours of sleep.) Bear with me.
None the less, we had a great day! And if anyone cares to know what we did, here is a recap! Got there around 6:20 to get fastpasses for James Arnold Taylor, then after that we went back to Darth Vader because my friend wanted to see him again. We were the second group in line and he remembered us from the day before and it was just perfect. After that we were able to see Maul again (cause he is awesome) and by 8:15 we made are way to the mickey line and caught Goofy and Donald and after that we dashed to the tent to catch C3PO who was out with R2D2. Once we did that we went to meet James Arnold Taylor, who was just wonderful. After that we caught the parade then saw some roaming characters and then Ventress, did the Jedi Council meet line twice for Anakin and Shaak Ti. We then queued up for, Visit to the Maul, (which was excellent by the way!) Right after I got back in to the queue for, Obi-Wan and Beyond, while my friend decided to go back to the Mickey meet and greet. (She made it in to the show but was in the back somewhere.) Then we ended the night by meeting Greedo. It was a really long, but good day.

I must say, do see Obi-Wan and Beyond, it was amazing and it blew me away, James Arnold Taylor had the audience on their feet twice. A incredibly talented act that is worth your time.

And on a unrelated note, would anyone be interested in some photos from our two days?

Oh wow your good! Thank you so much! Well be there next weekend Hopefully they still have some!

Thank you! I'd like to try and help out.

Yes please! Also, could you give an idea about how long those character lines were? Thank you! :goodvibes

I'll upload some tomorrow :D

These are just estimates from what we waited, I can't really speak for the Darth Maul and Vader line because we did those first thing and never waited more than 15 minutes for either once they came to their set.

For the Fetts it was about a half hour each time.
The mickey group was about 30 minutes when we waited this morning.
We waited 50 for Chewie
The line inside the merch tent really varried for us, we did that line four times and we waited as little as 15 minutes to 45 minutes.
Blister pack (The Clone Wars Characters) were about 20 minutes each time
Jedi Council was about 20 minutes each time through
We only waited about 20 minutes for chip and dale as ewoks

But like I said, this is just what I experienced due to when we joined the line/ time of day.

Thank you! I'd like to try and help out.

Holy cow woman you were busy!!! We haven't taken the time for characters yet except for roamers. We managed to get a pic of the Rancor while waiting in line for LE merch.

Hello gang, we are in line for Jeremy Bullock... The Ray Park line was already tagged with wrist bands but if you aren't here before the security check start sweating. Only ones past security check are stand bys.

My husband and son agree with me and my daughter like this years more than last.... there are some great moments in it, and like I said, still a must see.
We are heading to the park later today

It sounds like everyone is Having a great time out there At the moment.

We are getting to do sww last day its on in June and super excited after reading so much on here. Im just wondering if anyone can tell me if many people are dressed up in sw costumes.

we are going to probably do it, as my daughter and hubby are big star wars fans but at the same time I don't want us to go to the effort and be really hot etc if not many other people are.

:)

In line for Chewie. Got fp for JAT for 10 and JTA for 9:20! This is our first early morning start of the weekend for me and ds. DH had had an early start each day.

Were you just barely able to get FPs for JAT or was 6:20 plenty of time? We're going to be there weekend 4 and might not be able to pull off getting there until closer until 7:00 and I'm wondering if that would be too late to get a FP for him.

Nice blog, Kathy. It's informative without being too overwhelming -- especially for newbies.

Question: I thought I remember reading that on the last day (Sunday) that certain items were discounted. If that's correct, which types of items would be discounted and typically by how much?

We did, as did about 30 other guests. The comments and photos of us from guests was the highlight of my trip. I lost count on the numbers. Had kids run up to me to say hi or high five. It really made my day and will be what I remember most from this SWW. And my 'costume' was just a cool (hot & sweaty though) black cloak.

I think hoopla issue was vision. Nobody really could see much unless up close. Also, don't remember anything super good like chewy's sexy & I know it.

New to SWW, but not new to WDW. Question on Hyperspace Hoopla....do you have the whole group wait or just one who tries to hold the space for others? I don't mind holding down the fort, but wasn't sure if it was allowed or just not possible with the crowds.
