I know you are there day one, are you perhaps planning on any other days?

this Friday, Saturday and maybe Sunday. Next weekend Saturday and Sunday. June 1st afternoon and Sunday 2nd. And June 8 afternoon and Sunday the 9th for the last day. My son has his SAT and ACT tests scheduled for June1st and June 8th so that's why I can't be there all day

Oh very :cool1: so there is a chance I might run into you, cause I will not be there on Friday but then will be this Sat & Sun and all of weekend 2!

the autograph book might be available at the gift shop that's outside of DHS, the one to the left as you are approaching the turnstiles. They will have weekend event merchandise only Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

That would be awesome. Does it typically open before the park?

Also wondering the same thing...we are getting to Disney on June 7th and we are not planning on doing a park that night...early morning for SWW on Sat and would like to have autograph book...I hate to add a day to our tickets just to buy and autograph book...

Alternatively, is it possible to get the book and rejoin your group since its not like that would be adding to the wait of those behind you (same picture)? Or is it like it is with the autograph sessions where that is a huge no-no?

Oh man... if so that will be a huge line (that I would wait in, lol!)

It should. We have bought SWW Tshirts from it while waiting in line for opening.

Its outside the gate though right?...so I could ride the bus over on friday and pick one up without using a park day...this might work...hopefully you guys going the first few weekends can tell us what they have.

Yes, when you are facing the turnstyles, its to the left. They should have the official SWW T-shirt, probably the hats, maybe the logo glass, a couple of SW plushies and I would guess the autograph books too. Not sure about the pins since we aren't collectors. Its a VERY small sampling of the merchandise.

Passholder Merch was shown in the new Mickey Monitor!

It alsos says more than 60 characters will be at SWW.

Will buses be running earlier than normal for SWW? What time will I need to be at the Contemporary bus stop to be at HS by 7:30? I thought about calling a cab to save time but I won't have our car seats since we are flying and plan to use Disney transportation.

Not sure about the buses but I would call a cab to get there in time if you want to be there before the park opens. The cab companies usually carry car seats in their trunks so you shouldn't worry about that but still you can check the day before just to make sure
That's such an exaggeration. There will be 35/36 characters at this years SWW available to meet. I'm assuming they are including the 501st in the parade?

Yeah, they count every single stormtrooper to get to that number

7:00 am a good time to have the cam pick us up? Someone said a good estimate is about $20/ride to and from anywhere. Sound correct?

They shouldn't. Disney has no "Official" control over the 501st. However, that said, since the 501st appears by invitation, pretty much if Disney says "do it", they will. From my own experience, and talking to 501st members who have done SWW before, the meet & greets, and wandering characters are all Disney, not 501st. I am given to understand that we should not be wearing our costumes around, even the ones without helmets and masks, for simplicity sake. We try to be professional at all times when in costume, but, we are not perfect, and only human, so not all of us are ready to deal with large crowds always vying for our attention.

This is what it says in the Mickey Monitor:
"This year Star Wars weekends boasts more than 60 characters. Look for them in character encounters, roaming the park and even showing up in the most unexpected surprise moments. One of your best chances is at the Legends of the Force Motorcade, where you can see many of the Star Wars characters and celebrities in one place at one time. The motorcade ends at the Sorcerer Hat stage with a not-to-be-missed photo opportunity"

so clearly when they say 60 characters it means all of the ones you'll see in the parade.

If they counted each Trooper in the 501st and Rebel Legions as individual characters, there would be well over 100 each day, including the Disney official ones. I have to believe the 60 number takes into account only the Official folks. I could be wrong, though. It would not be the first time.

:offtopic: Warning :offtopic:

While sit here trying to prepare to wait in long lines and enjoy SWW my boyfriend comes across this article while he's doing research for his first adult trip to Disney...

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manhattan/disney_world_srich_kid_outrage_zTBA0xrvZRkIVc1zItXGDP

We are both  :furious:

Don't worry - so many things about that article don't make sense.... When was the last time you saw a wait at Its a Small World be 2.5 hours long? Reports of people who properly use GAC cards are very different as well - when my mother broke her foot and was in a scooter we NEVER got front of the line 2 minute waits when there was a long standby. In fact we often had to wait longer than we would in a normal line because they had to stop certain ones to let her on (she could not move fast at all).

That doesn't even count the fact that they aren't allowed to question you if you ask for a GAC card... at best, they're wasting thousands of $$ needlessly to get their 'perk'. ;)
