***Official*** Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Information Thread *** Contains SPOILERS ***

Reservations for Savi’s Workshop and Oga’s Cantina
Beginning June 24, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will no longer require a reservation to access the land, although reservations will be required for Savi’s Workshop and Oga’s Cantina, which have very limited capacities. Guests wishing to book a reservation for these experiences may do so on the same day of their visit, beginning at 7 a.m., with a valid credit card. Reservations for both experiences will allow access into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the time of the reservation, so it will not be necessary to join a boarding group, if applicable, to enter the land to participate in a reserved experience. Please visit Disneyland.com/SavisWorkshop and Disneyland.com/Cantina for important details.
Go forth, adventurers, and make the most of your visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge by planning ahead with these new innovative digital planning tools to access Batuu, resulting in more time to enjoy the Disneyland Resort!

This sounds great. Can anyone confirm that you do not PHYSICALLY need to be inside the park in order to make a reservation at 7am? Can I make a reservation from my home and then decide to head over if I get one?

I wonder if a disney gift card could be used to pay for this booking? I'm all about stocking up with them for all expenses in-park. It's a smart move for the sake of everyone!

Nope. Credit cards only at this time.

Considering you can make them on the website I would say yes you could do that.

Might work like ADR..use the credit card to secure a spot and then pay for the items with cash, gift card or credit card...maybe even credits if you have such things...

Some more notes on today's Disneyland news...

Savi's has you make a $199.99 non-refundable "deposit". If you don't show up you just lost $200. This is good you the build + 2 guests.

Oga's requires a credit card reservation much like other reservations and you will be charged $10 per person for a no show. You cannot cancel. Reservation is a 45 minute window and you have a 2 drink max.

Im sure there will be no drink limit here :)

Are you asking about joining a boarding group or one of the reservations for Oga’s or Savi’s?

If you’re asking about boarding groups, around the 3 minute mark of the video it says joining a boarding group is linked to your theme park ticket and you must have entered the park to request to join a boarding group.

I’m not sure if that is the case for Oga’s or Savi’s?

Is anyone else surprised that they are not limiting how long you can stay in Batuu? I’m wondering how this may affect how many people can visit if there is no limit to how long people can stay?

I believe the poster was asking about the reservations for Oga’s or Savi’s.

I’m not surprised that they are not limiting. It would be harder to do so without the reservations. The majority of people won’t spend 10 hours in the land.

They would have to do a clean sweep of the land after the time limit, that is time consuming, I'm sure they are assuming that the majority of people won't stay longer than 4 hours.

en doing now.

Until I heard that you had 2 hours to enter the land once your boarding group is called, I wondered if they might do a coloured wristband upon entry as they have been doing now and clear things out that way.

I guess it depends on what people want to do. For my dd and I we basically want to ride MFSR, purchase a souvenir and look around a bit. I anticipate 4 hours being plenty of time IF the line to MFSR is reasonable. For those who want to ‘do it all’ (Oga’s, Savi’s, MFSR, dining, shopping and wandering around) I can see them being in Batuu a much greater time than we are.

So much is going to depend on the lines for the ride. It has been so reasonable at DL so far (often under 60 mins that I’m aware of) but when I compare it to FoP at WDW which is normally 2+ hours plus all-day, every-day, it’s hard to believe MFSR won’t be as long a wait or even much longer!

June 24th and following will be eye-opening for sure and give us a hint of what we may see at WDW.

Either that or, people arriving will find that all boarding groups are already full and they will be unable to even enter the land.

Also, I find the disclaimer that ‘Being assigned a Boarding Group number does not guarantee admittance to the land or it’s experiences’ very interesting. Hope that doesn’t start happening to people!

So many unknowns!!! So difficult to plan our DHS days!

They might do that, at DL there have been very few reports of people actually being escorted out. After their time they can't go on SR or to Oga or Savi but they've been allowed to stay and shop and walk around. Most visitors will be ok leaving after a couple of hours, some will want more time. Monday and beyond will definitely be eye opening

I think the drink limit is more so to get people in and out so they just might have it in WDW.

honestly, as someone for whom the Cantina is my #1 thing to do, I am fine with it so that more people get to experience it. and while I'd love to spend hours there - 45 mins should be enough and 2 drinks is better for my wallet :D

I still wonder if in WDW they will have drinks at other locations (beer, wine, etc.) and if they will let you get a drink to go from the Cantina

I will put money on the fact that they will sell alcoholic drinks outside of the Cantina, as to drinks to go....I mean, why not, they get their money and they get people out the door.
As to 2 drink max, I mean there are people that can drink pretty fast, if it's a time limit thing sure but I don't think they will limit drink numbers

I agree - I think it will be a "soft" limit. I know the DIS crew said they were told it was a 2 drink limit when they went into the Cantina, but then the servers defintiely would have served them a third, etc. ... so more I think just to give limits and guidlines without forceably enforcing it

I'm assuming it's standard CYA verbiage in case of anything really weird, but yeah - it's a bit concerning.

We shall see I guess. I don’t think they will let cantina drinks out because they don’t sell anything not in a glass there. I think we might see some alcoholic beverages at Ronto Roasters or Docking Bay 7 at WDW so they could have walk around. However due to the popularity and nature of the cantina I think that will stay very similar to Disneyland’s at DHS. I really do think they will limit the cantina at DHS simply to get people in and out. They have too.
