Just saw some photos of a lot of scaffolding up at Wildeeness Lodge I definitely don’t want a room where I can’t use the balcony. I would rather stay elsewhere and not pay for a view I’m not going to have…

What side ? By the pool or the resort side that faces MK?🥴

I just learned about Gardians playing September all day on the 21st. Does anyone know if this will have a noticeable effect on crowds? Wondering if we should move our Epcot day to the 22nd.

Is anyone here planning to go to Epcot on the 21st because of the song?

Following! We won’t be there this trip on the 21st but will be next year. My oldest is so excited because it’s her favorite song on her favorite ride. Want to make sure it won’t be completely nuts. lol

Sept 22nd will be extended evening hours for deluxe guests. But the crowd should be over at Magic Kingdom that night, since it is one of the few days that week that MK isn't closed for a party.

Sept 21st has MK closed at night for a party, so the crowd might be at Epcot at night.

I would be more worried about the Sunday crowd at Epcot during Food and Wine. The locals especially like this festival. :)

Thank you! This is very helpful!

A week today I’ll be heading to the airport for the 8 ~9 hour flight 😩. 10 days doing Epic, IOA, US, Seaworld and Busch then onto Disney for 14 days. Meeting my youngest son and his fiancée at MCO who live in Oz. Will only be 4th time in 10 years I have seen him ( 3rd was last year we met at MCO did same). Hope everyone is having and will have an amazing time!

Back from a wonderful 12 day trip - we did 5 days at Universal and 7 days at Disney World.
We had a great time and seriously great weather - we only got rained on like 2-3 times. Our Epic day had ZERO rain, which was much appreciated as there is like zero cover. We waited 1 hr 53 min for DKMM - which is insane but it was our only must do in that area. Yoshi's adventure was a 10 minute wait so no biggie. I def see Express would be beneficial but the cost was just TOO insane.
My sister and I only wait 5 minutes for Monster's Unchained - loved it!
The whole of the Harry Potter area was beautiful and I felt like I stepped into 1920s France - didn't bother trying for MOM because it wasn't our priority this trip. Kids loved Fyre Drill and we got soaked - which felt amazing as it was so hot.

We had a 2 bedroom suite at Royal Pacific and then moved over to a 2 bedroom villa at Boardwalk. The Disney difference at the resorts is VERY noticeable.
Loews will not accept perishable deliveries if you are not present, whereas Disney will hold all perishables and actually called to ask if I'd like it delivered to the room before I had a chance to call them. The receiving bell services attendants at Boardwalk was SO helpful and made sure to learn my BIL's name and was so quick with our luggage when we arrived and the day we left.
My family didn't love how DVC doesn't clean/make up rooms every day. Normally I don't see an issue but it's usually just myself or me and a friend traveling. Having a 2 bedroom with 5 kids, it was a bit chaotic so they're thinking next time they might pay OOP to stay on the resort side to have that daily cleaning.
Loews does do daily cleaning/room make up which was very pleasant in the 2 br suite. The living and dining areas were HUGE, so we never felt cramped.

We used Away We Go for three different transfers - MCO to Royal Pacific, Royal Pacific to Boardwalk and Boardwalk to MCO for 11 people. They were always on time, fast with loading/unloading luggage and the last one had two rear facing car seats installed when the bellman saw we had two on our luggage cart so that way when we arrived at the airport my BIL didn't have to uninstall their own car seats. Three trips was around $300 which included tip/tax and was a huge deal for 11 people. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Overall - a great trip, but my sister and BIL decided that Universal won't happen again until the youngest are at least 8 years old (they're 22 months now). They tend to go every 3 years so next rip will be 2028 and the youngest will be 5 - no diapers, bottles or car seats for plane!

Today is our last park day. Going out with a bang at Epcot & on a quest to use our last 7 free QS credits. We also have Garden Grill for breakfast & have a few more F&W treats to try. Wish us luck. 🤣

It’s been very hot but very fun — only caught in a monsoon once at HS.

We will be back in a year at Pop Century! We enjoy the theming at All Star Movies but miss the Skyliner.

Ok in my bizarro head, the planning is more exciting than the trip. 11 days out & I’m less and less excited about going. Now the guilt about doing something just for me and not including my grands who would love to go (I haven’t even told them about it) sets in. I know I’m entitled to spend money on myself but still feels wrong☹️. Thanks for listening.

Been there, done that. :)

I felt guilty the first time we went to WDW without the kids. But I got over it quickly because we had such a fantastic time without them. The next time I felt guilty was when we didn't take the grandkids. We had taken them many times, but those trips were always stressful - and expensive. Then we started going on trips with our sisters. Then I started feeling only slightly bad when we took trips without inviting them along. Now I just enjoy every trip with just DH and I. :)

We all deserve a treat ~ I sort of get the feeling guilty part but try not to too much!. Just enjoy yourself and YOUR time. Plenty of time to spoil others when you get back!
Have a ball!
