***Official September 2020 Thread***

So, GDT will be closed for my trip Sept. 14 - 23, 2020? I really wanted to stay there. Not sure where else to room now.

I had no luck this morning and am not willing to sit in front of the computer for hours. Just made 8 days of reservations for our end of September trip with no waits or issues (4:00pm EST). Next question: where will we stay with POR closed? Hoping for an upgrade as opposed to CBR.

me too I don’t want to stay at CBR I choose POFQ for its small size!

have been trying to.call AP line since 7:00 am but still can’t get through.
not sure how on earth they expected people to all be able access the park reservations at the same time for reservations spanning over a year !!
i love Disney and I do understand the incredible undertaking they are working thru but I’m sooo tired of spending hours on the phone. today I was on iPad and laptop over 3 hours before getting access to reservations and I was holding on phone at same time for 4.5 hours before someone answered and I was immediately disconnected
so frustrating. I’m actually considering just giving up and canceling reservations for sept and dec. I had an AP that expired in May and no way to renew so now I dont have enough days in my account to cover both reservation. I have old tickets with days remaining that I was able to use for some of my sept trip but not enough to cover both trips. So then I decided I should have used days for dec trip since those dates should be harder to get than sept and the system won’t let me make any changes!!!

Well, I did it. Got up early here on the west coast and had to jump through some hoops. Thanks to the folks right here on the DISboards I managed to get it to work and I have my reservations for my September trip.

Anyone that was able to get through and change resorts were you able to get the park hopper is taken off??

It only took me over 2.5 hours to get passes for July and I was finally able to get Park Passes for September. The system is really screwy right now, so I wasn't able to get them in the order that I wanted, but it's done.

DHS, MK, MK, DHS, MK, AK

I may try to move a few things around tomorrow, but there's no way I'm messing with my May 2021 trip tonight.

I tried moving my reservations around but system would not alow changes only option was to cancel if you are able to make changes please let me know.

This is us too! Unfortunately I don’t think there’s anything similar to POFQ when it comes to size. I’m dreading it!

It's a real bummer. I hope you guys get upgraded instead. I had some issues with POFQ when I stayed last summer (mostly transportation related) but I loved staying in Building 4, coming down the stairs by my room I was literally right at the back door to the food court. Getting around was a breeze. I've never been to CBR but on my super long DME trip to BC we dropped off there first and it felt like it took a long time just pulling into it! It's pretty but good lord lol

Well I added a couple to the list and made changes to others. I have no idea if I have them all on there or not so just tag me if you wanted something added or changed. With all the changes I didn't do well with keeping up on it.

So yesterday I was able to book all 10 of our park days - This is our order of parks: AK, EP, MK, HS, MK, AK, MK, HS, EP and MK.

After that I called in to see where we could be moved to since our resort (Music) will not be opened yet. I spent 2.5 hours on hold just waiting on the first CM to pick up. As soon as he heard we did not want to make any changes to our package he said we would need to talk to guest services. Back on hold we went for another 2.5 hours before guest services picked up. We had to the choice to move to AOA or POP. I picked POP as this is our favorite resort so thrilled about that. No additional charges. So it was a long day but everything worked out as we hoped.

Next up hopefully is to get some of our ADR's back that they took away.

I was originally going to stay at POFQ - my "home" resort - but decided on POP. I really like the room layout as a solo traveler. Looks like I made the right choice.

I'm so curious about this trip. I really don't like the one park per day restriction and will miss shows and fireworks. With everyone from AllStars now moving to POP and AoA it seems like those resorts will be really crowded. However... who knows? Is it going to be crazy crowded or crazy empty?

Doesn't really matter to me. I wasn't planning to go to The World in 2020 at all. I decided to go for one reason - to experience this new type of WDW adventure.

After the disappointment of missing out on our big trip in May, I was ready to sit 2020 out also, but I agree with you. Will it be like we know it? No. But I think the magic will be there all the same.

Other than the obvious, what is it you all think you'll miss?

For me, it's the traditions I have;
Day One I get in early because I take the red-eye from LAX. I head over to DHS but don't go in. I take the boat to Epcot, walk through and get on the Monorail to MK. I have my first meal at Harbour House then go on the rides that were once in Disneyland but are only in MK now.

My last night is always at Epcot with a nice dinner (restaurants vary) and the lagoon show.

My last day I always take late flight back home so I go to each park and do one (or two) rides always ending my trip with Spaceship Earth.

Guest services moved to Pop from Music with no extra charge. They also switched my park hopper tickets to regular ones. So now I have a hotel, things are looking up for the trip.

I will miss the long park hours. We are in the parks from open to close so this will be new being at the resort more. Even though it is just my DH and I and we are almost 50 we still love to meet the characters so not having all those pictures to come home to look at will be sad. I just keep telling myself we have to treat this as a whole new type of vacation and really try had to not compare to our past trips. If we do we will just be let down.

The Disney Bubble: It will still be there, but it's not going to be the same for me. Getting on a plane and not driving my car while at Disney is pretty awesome. In September I'm going to have to drive down and I'm going to be driving myself to AK, Epcot and DHS as opposed to going on the bus. I'm not really looking forward to that aspect of it.

Mid-Day Break/Park Hopping: Maybe I'll still do a break, maybe I'll sleep in, but it's not going to be the same. I loved getting up for rope drop, going to the park for a few hours and when it started to get busy, I'd go back to the resort for a nap. When I woke up, I'd always go to a different park. I won't be able to do that for the foreseeable future.
