***Official September 2020 Thread***

In addition I did pay full price for a garden room at POFQ and im not even sure if that equates to a standard view room at CBR...

If it helps I also have a garden view at POFQ booked for September (Uk Guest though so currently unable to change 🙄) a standard view at CBR shows as cheaper than a garden view room on a rack rate chart I’ve been looking at.

so interesting to see what others are being offered....I just got off phone with guest services and Im probably going to have to cancel our trip...Im supposed to be arriving at POFQ with my mom who uses a cane and we were planing to rent an ECV when we get to parks...she can not do stairs...So even after I explained this to CM she insisted all she could offer me was an "equal" move to another moderate resort and I was given choice of CBR or the cabins. In addition I was told there was no guarantee we could get a first floor room. This is definitely not going to work as my Mother will be unable to walk the distances at the CBR. That stinks! I understand the mobility part, but maybe you can rent an ECV from an outside company? We did this for DH when we went after his ankle surgery and for DS2 when he fractured his ankle 2 weeks before a trip. It was sooooo nice having the ECV at the resorts and wherever we wanted to go. We were at CSR for one trip and POFQ for the other and were in upper floors.

actually that’s why I’m so upset!!! I would absolute rent an ECV but that won’t help me get my mother up the steps since there are no elevators at CBR!!! The CM was adamant that they won’t guarantee us a ground floor room. I can’t imagine that with as many rooms as there are at CBR they wouldn’t have one available but I just can’t take a chance with possible limited capacity that we might actually arrive and still be told we can’t have a ground floor room.

Hi all! 93 days to go until our trip. I made all of our park reservations on Monday with very little issues----except when I tried to make them for March 2021. The issue was our APs but that kink worked itself out and I was able to make those on Tuesday.

I really wish we knew the crowds @ the parks-you know if they are at 25% capacity then what is the capacity? Also, as an Annual Passholder- IF there is availability at a park in the evening, can you visit that park in addition to the one you visited earlier in the day? Since, Disney is not selling park hoppers at the moment, I was wondering if there was availability if it was possible.

IDK if I updated, but we are at Copper Creek for the full duration of our trip. I booked a Deluxe Studio and request "upper" floor. I hope that things are better by September/October.

I am looking forward to EPCOT having a "version" of the F&W. That is the park that I would like to visit in the evenings. Right now I have us booked : MK, HS, EP, MK, AK, EP, HS

We are looking forward to staying at WL. It is a beautiful resort but we have never actually stayed there. We were book at AKV - JAmbo but we moved because of the NBA rumor and not knowing if they would be open or not-and we were CL for a portion of our stay and who knows if that will be available.

Fingers crossed for cool breezes, good weather (no rain or hurricanes), and short wait times.

I got my email last night, and said yes, we're still gonna be there. The confirmation page said they would be contacting me to confirm availability... since we're staying at Pop, I don't know why they put that. Keeping an eye out now for another email from them.

After having to call multiple times across the last 4 days (which collectively equaled about 13 hours on hold) we are finally all set and confirmed! Will now be at Poly, Sept 7-13, and got parks 9/8 Epcot, 9/9 MK, 9/10 AK, 9/11 HS, and 9/12 MK! Hallelujah I am so thrilled to be done with the Disney Phoneline Hunger Games 😂...well, for now at least, unless another vacation curveball gets thrown at all of us!

Crowds: I believe they're starting out at 30% capacity. I wouldn't expect that to be lowered by September, unless they shut down completely.

Visiting multiple parks (because you're an AP holder): I wouldn't count on it. Right now it's one park per day for everybody, period. If I recall, they were especially cracking down on AP holders "only" allowing them to make "X" number of park reservations. They've cut the park hours back so much, I can't imagine "capacity level" changing that much over the course of the day.

EPCOT: I agree with you about visiting EPCOT in the evening. I made my park reservations for 2021 yesterday. Sadly, I skipped EPCOT completely. It's not a full day park for us.

Hurricanes: You just jinxed it. LOL

i don't think they were "cracking down" since technically if they have a resort reservation and valid admission then they can make as many as they want. But, there was a glitch in the system. I still have the "renewal certificate" on my account since I didn't get to activate it.

I also think there are a lot of people that are like you and will skip Epcot. Why not make it possible for APs to hop if there is availability? If they allow it - Great! If not- I'm good also. I will just go to TOTW lounge and watch the monorail or Trader Sam's or Disney Springs. I got a back up plan for a back up plan. Hakuna Matata

"All Annual Passholders are eligible to make Theme Park reservations for up to 3 days at a time, or Annual Passholders staying at select Disney Resort or other select hotels with valid Theme Park admission are eligible to make Theme Park reservations for their entire Resort length of stay."

The point I was making was anybody can make reservations for their park stay. AP holders were limited to 3 days if not staying at a resort. That's what I meant by "cracking down". So, because of that, I don't think an AP holder would be allowed to, in essence, park hop if capacity allows it, just because they're an AP holder. That's where I was going with that.

I as usual have received no email from Disney regarding my Sept reservation....I dont know why I never receive anything from them when everyone does...I have checked my "profile" and everything is filled in....tomorrow will be the 4th day I will spend on the phone....
You aren’t the only one! If it weren’t for social media, I’d be in the dark!

We are booked at Riverside and haven’t been able to get through on the phone. I don’t understand why all changes are not handled the same. I’m not looking forward to the conversation. If I were you, and I had the time, I’d call again and hope for a better outcome.

im going to try and call again tomorrow I’m most concerned about being able to ensure we have a first floor room if our only option is a resort with no elevator. CBR is lovely but I’m worried about the lack of elevator and long distances between room and transportation and dining options. We always stay at the POFQ since it’s a smaller resort.

On our dog walk this evening DH mentioned that I may want to call Disney to see what resorts are available, especially since we have the military rate, instead of just waiting to see where they put us. I tried a few times but it kept saying the lines were busy and try again later- not even putting me on hold! On a whim before retiring to read before bed I just tried a few minutes ago, and after putting in all my info I wasn't on hold barely a minute before I got on the line with an extremely sweet and helpful CM! She checked where they suggested to move us, and it was CBR. I wouldn't have minded, but just like when I tried to switch our reservation originally to Sept. (so we could try a new resort) the only thing available there for the military rate was the pirate rooms, meaning double beds. DH and I are used to a king at home, so we want at least a queen on vacation. She suggested we check to see where else we could upgrade to while I was on the line, and she said AK villas, Boulder Ridge and Copper Creek, Boardwalk, Beach Club, Contemporary, Poly and Poly villas, Riviera, and Saratoga Springs were all showing availability. So you guys that want those places- get one the phone and try now! There is hope out there!

I asked the CM to check Beach Club, since we were originally at Yacht Club, and for a garden view room it was only $450 more than CSR! It was actually less than what we originally booked YC for! I asked about Stormalong Bay and she said it is scheduled to open Aug. 24 when the regular parts of the resort open. (Just for giggles I had her check Poly but it was $800 more, so we'll save that for another time.) I'm so excited to be trying a new resort and be walking distance to two parks. Beach Club- here we come! Now I've got to go check out menus and plan our dining again... for the third time! 19 more days!

Interesting, I thought Boardwalk wasn't opening until Oct. 1st. Maybe it was for the DVC side?

I think it must have been, she just said "Boardwalk" and didn't specify Inn or Villas. If we han''t already tried BWI last year I might have jumped on BWV- it's a wonderful resort all together..

Yes, I love BWV - did a solo trip there a couple of years ago and have another DVC rental there for this Labor Day week, although I'm hoping my reservation will be re-rented by David's. If not, my dad would like to use it. No park tickets yet though so not sure it will be possible for him.

I got through to Disney today, no wait on the phone. Moved from POR to CBR. Cast member indicated that if there were no available rooms At a moderate for my date, I would get upgraded to a dlx resort. She also said to watch for discounts from Disney, she thought they were coming. Just what I was told. Take it for what it’s worth. She also said you can cancel or modify your reservation within 7 days of arrival, also when the final payment is due.
