September 3-8 at Kidani Village. We originally booked POR, but later joined the DVC and put our points to use right away!

I am getting so excited! My hubby will be back from deployment soon...and then a little time off, then to Disney! After months of being the sole person responsible for the kids, the house, work, bills, fixing everything broken, etc. I so look forward to my main "concerns" being "Can I beat my previous score on Space Ranger Spin?!"

*Woo-hoo* My mom and I decided that we wanted to book an extra day at the World and just extended our trip from 9/3-9/9 till 9/10.

I know it's only 1 day and maybe some wouldn't get as excited but it's always nice to have that extra day of park fun!!! Plus we are missing one full day because we will be at Universal.

When we first booked our trip for September we were originally going for 6 nights, but since I made the great idea of having 1 non park day during that time, DH said that I should get on the phone and extend our stay to one more day. I kid you not, I was jumping up and down with excitement because I was so happy to have that extra day.

I too am in the extra excited over "going from 6 to 7 nights" group.

Too funny, what makes our situation I think a little more crazier (in the sense of how obsessed we are with Disney) is our first trip we booked was for the 3rd-8th, then we decided a couple weeks later to do the extra day. We were pretty happy on the 6 days and idk what it was that got us thinking "Lets stay one more day." Essentially we got ourselves a 2 day extension.

We originally were going to go from the 6th-11th, but when my brother decided not join us, my Mother and myself, we decided to arrive a day earlier and have an extra day in the parks. We also are going to have a non-park day, but it will be after we check out, so I don't think it counts. We plan on spending the 11th at the Holyland Experience.. we have never been and someone from my church recommended it.

Have you stayed at OKW before? If you have not and you didn't pick a room closer to the front of the resort, you may want to look into that. My mom and I got a free resort upgrade there last year so we took it and didn't look at all into the busing route. I don't care so much that we were the last bus stop to be picked up to go to the parks and dropped off last at the resort, but if you are further back and you want to use your snack credits/meals/mugs you have to walk a pretty far way IMO just to get to the front.

We were put near the "Old Turtle Shack" and let's just it was a total pain in the rear for my mom and I.

i was looking at diff packages, and doing the math....found a flight home 2 days later for the same amount....so we called to extend our vacation!
i didn't think about fees for changing the flight so it turned out to be more $$ than we thought
but, it'll add 2 more full days to our trip!
so instead of 9/12-9/17, now we're going 9/12- 9/19!

That was our dilemma too!!! It was costing us the same amount to change the flight as it was to stay the extra day. On Disney's end it was totally worth it but the airline is what made us hem and haw over whether we wanted to change it or not. We ended up changing though so glad we did

i think we'll be glad we did as well....we were originally booked for like, 5 1/2 days, our original flight home was 7:30pm, so we'd have to leave to head to the airport by at least 5....so now we're leaving sunday morning, so we have our full friday instead, and a full satruday...
last time we went we had the 7 days 8 nights, 2 of those days in universal...we only plan on one day at universal, so....i'm glad we added these 2 days
i don't think we'll regret adding the days, but, our bank account might....

Sorry to hear about the extra cost, but TANSTAAFL right???? And you do get 2 extra days!!!!!

P.S. TANSTAAFL is the #1 economic principal (There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch).

be there Nov 17 thru 23 Nov , we stayed at the CBR last Dec 09 . never stayed at the OKW , just waiting to see if Disney will extend the military
discount tickets. we plan to go to the MVMCP and also Cirque du Soleil - La Nouba .
