My very first Disney trip ever! My husband and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary with a trip to WDW!
What started out as a couple of days with a free gadgadd ticket has evolved into a 6 day stay at AKL with deluxe dining. I have to say, I'm not really a "Disney person" but I am terribly excited. I've made my ADRs, I bought some pins online and made my own lanyard! I've printed out my tip envelopes for Mousekeeping, I've started a trip binder/journal and I would start packing today if I didn't need those clothes for the rest of the summer! You could say I got a little swept up in the magic.
We were originally planning on going in OCT but have now booked for SEP 10-26. so we are only 86 days out! We will be staying offsite at the Westgate Villas, and we are soooo ready!
We will be there . Sept 11-17th at Pop Century. It will be myself, my mom, my niece (5) and my nephew (6). This is my 8th trip to Disney, my mom has also been to Disney several times but we have determined that this will be a trip of firsts, starting with where we are staying. This trip we are staying at Pop Century for the first time. We will also be going to Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, riding Toy Story Mania, and eating at Coral Reef all for the first time. Of course we will hopefully add many more first to this trip.
My mom started about 10 years ago, we took my 2 oldest neices and then a few years later, we took 2 of my nephews and so now it is time to take the 2 youngest. Tate is 61/2 and Ashlin will turn 5 in August. They have both been before when we took a big family trip in 2005 but Tate was 20mos and although he likes to say he remembers, he doesn't, and Ashlin was only 3 weeks old.
I swear though, I'm as excited as if it were my first trip ever as well.
I am taking my DH to POFQ for a Surprise 40th BD/ 15th Anniversary trip with FD (upgraded to DxDDP ) and the beginning of F&W (oh yeah, my 41st BD is also two weeks prior to leaving- so I'm celebrating too! ) I can't wait- it will be the first trip back w/o kids since our honeymoon in 1995 (that was a looong time ago!)
Debating whether or not to check out the Food and Wine festival on our last night there, as it starts Oct 1 - I'm afraid I won't want to leave if we go!
Bounceback for us at Pop from September 11 - 19th. This is a special trip since it is just me and my youngest DS - bring on the Halloween party and DXDDP!!!
Yea!!! Just found out that my uncle who lives in West Palm Beach will be coming up to see us on our trip. However he has season passes to Universal. He's done Disney so many times his kids are a little over it at the moment. So me and my mom decided to take a day out and go to the Harry Potter Park and do Universal for the day. I haven't been in probably 12-13 years.
Does anyone know how crowds are at Universal this time of year? We will be going on the 4th which is a Sat. so I'm expecting a larger crowd but was just curious. Or can point me in the direction of any possible threads on here pertaining to Universal. I wanna know what are "must see/do rides," ect. as we are only going for the day and I want to make it worth while. (I'm a little new still) Thanks!!!
