I'm glad to see you two posting. I was starting to think everyone forgot about sailing.

And <B>WVMD</B> - Thanks for bumping the thread for my other Wonder cruise also! This is the first time I've had to pack for back-to-back cruises, so I've been thinking and re-thinking my list. The only downside is that because the Sept. 25th was an added date for me since I originally only booked the 28th onboard, I decided to economize and do Cat 11 for it, while I'm in my favorite Cat 7 for the 4-day that follows. That means changing staterooms and having to pack and unpack for each cruise. Ah, well . . Life is tough, huh? It just breaks my usual routine.

Everyone be sure to wish Raisin64 HAPPY BIRTHDAY when you see her on the ship!

I think this is the only time next to waiting for my 21st Birthday,
that I am actually counting down to a Birthday and eager for the day to come.

I lucked out I have the same cabin for both cruises. I guess it was Pixie Dust for my Birthday

Hey there!
Remember me? I'm on the list for this cruise. Sorry, got kinda caught up in school (we homeschool)and home improvements out the BE-hind (new pool liner, new well pump, new well tank, new roof, new sunroom) and lost touch with the DIS cruise line board.

Let me just give you a rundown of what's going on, cruise wise...

We planned this cruise and are using DVC points. The children have NO idea!!! My MIL and her dh decided to join us (DVC also) and sooo.....now the story is that WE have to take GRANDMA and BUTCH to the airport for THEIR Disney cruise. AND, to top things off, THEY need to borrow some of OUR luggage.

Well, let me tell you. My 9 yr old dd is QUITE peeved that Grandma didn't even have the common cuortesy (sp?) to invite us to go with her!! She is going nuts knowing that Grandma and Butch are going and SHE isn't!! She is holding a MAJOR grudge! It's funny to watch her because *I* know that she *IS* going, but she doesn't!! After all, she had told us at one time that she would never "waste her time doing a 3 day cruise since it's not nearly long enough!!"

We have NOT packed. Not one single thing!! We must pack in the secret darkness of the night and stash the luggage somewhere! We have extensive packing lists so throwing it in a suitcase should not be difficult. Besides it's *only* 3 days, so we can limp by if we forget something, right?

I cannot WAIT to see their little faces when they call our row number at the airport and dad produces the boarding passes!!

Just wanted to let you know that I DO exist and I'm sorry I haven't joined your thread earlier.

Not too much longer now....

Wait to you see the look on their faces it will be priceless.
My niece last year had no idea till we pulled up at the Port.
Her mouth just dropped and she was speechless for a minute then started to scream with joy. We were smart enough to get a picture of her in shock!

No packing here - hehe - way too soon.... Why do it today - when you can get the DW upset and do it the night before - or the morning of the flight....

Ohiominnie - great story - we managed to take our DD to DisneyWorld - she didn't know where we were until we got into the Contemporary - she even said - "Look - the hotel has a train going through it just like at Disney..." It was priceless... She was then only 4 so we managed to put off her knowing - even had her look for something on the floor of the car whenever we passed gates or something she would recognize. This time - she's almost 9 and we all planned this together - of course it may only be the DD and me - the wife is still paranoid about cruising..(the seasickness fear....)

Oh well - can't wait - Hate that I have to work every day until we leave - but - it'll be worth it!

We pulled off a suprise Disney World trip in Sept 2000. We had been doing monthly scavenger hunts all summer and the results were some fun place around Columbus, Ohio. Well, the final scavenger hunt result was "Walt Disney World!" The kids did NOT believe it. My dd, she's sharp, informed us we didn't have luggage pack. So we showed her the van. She told us that we were teasing, that the luggage was probably empty. We had to prove to her that it was NOT empty. She started to realize it was true on our way to the airport. She said "my heart believes it's true, but my brain knows it's not possible." AWWWW. Dh showed her airline tickets and then she believed it. It was SOOOOO much fun to surprise them like that.

Hoping I can get the camera out in time to catch the initial reaction this time!!

Getting ready for the cruise? I <I>did</I> get my hair cut this week . . finally. It's now 5 or 6 inches shorter, but still below shoulder length. Packing? I pretty much <I>stay</I> packed except for clothing itself. The big issue there is that the CMs have seen my "favorite" attire too many times and they <I>always</I> remember, so I have to switch some things around, especially since this is a back-to-back for me. I wonder how Barb and Tony handle that, cruising so often? At least the week after my return will be my first time on the Magic, so the CMs will not be so familiar with my cruise attire! I would rather spend money on cruises than clothes.

taswira-- I HAD to spend more money on clothes. I bought all new clothes for my May Wonder cruise and then lost over 21 pounds!! Now nothing FITS! So I had to get new stuff!


WVMD and DUKESFAMILY-- I have PM'd you both about our dd's on this cruise!! Seems like the three of them are pretty close in age!

The Wonder is on port cam right now. NEXT time she comes into port, we're all getting on her!!!!!

I just noticed a blinking light on our answering machine.... So, I checked the message and it was Disney Cruise line saying we got an upgrade!!! We are now in a cat. 4 ! yay!! I looked at the deck layout and it looks like we are right next to the bridge! Cool! Needless to say, I prolly wont be able to sleep tonight or the rest of the week... I am so excited!
