I was at work yesterday and could not check in here, lots of good information on how noise issues have been handled in the past. Being informed is the best thing you can do during this construction time. My little one (as well as my parents lol) take afternoon naps, construction sounds would be a bummer for us. We should know more in the next week or so.

That's what I am hoping would happen if its to loud for our little ones to sleep. We are staying Cl in 58 days so I just keep checking that CR and GF have CL availability and hope they would move us if its a problem. I know there are a few stays after mine so I will take pictures of what is going on and let everyone know what it was like when I get back after Nov 5. I am desperately watching for trip reports to let me know whats going on in the next couple weeks before our stay.

I hope that we would have some good info from other dissers who will be at the poly leading up to your trip, it would be a hassle to get everyone unpacked and attempt naps , to then discover the sound bothered them and you had to move. Not impossible, not the worst thing, but it would be better for you to know in advance and move prior to arrival if need be.

Any ideas if the views of the fireworks from the beach will be blocked? Skimmed through the posts, but didn't find anything. Going in January, was thinking of Poly, but will most likely do CR because of construction.

So far the only part of the beach you will not be able to get to is from Sunset Point on in front of Tahiti.

Since most of both threads are about CL - I have a question for non-CL guests.

Is anyone being booked at Tahiti currently? I know that it didn't get the rehab, but are allowing people to stay there?

I have a non-CL TPV stay booked for the 1st of December, curious on where and how many TPV rooms will be left once they close Tahiti? Checking Tikiman's pages I think that only 20 rooms will be left in non-CL TPV category - does that sound correct?

I don't believe you can since Tahiti is part of the construction and will be going DVC, Once it is finished probably but I don't think they are booking it currently. I have to call Disney and I will check on it for you both.

keep an eye here, tpv in Hawaii may be not so good until they are done with construction, time will tell.

seems as though Tahiti will be out of service for good...waiting to hear officialy but that seems to be the case.

We are also booked non CL TPV - going Oct 6-13. Just have to wait and see what happens!

FWIW, our girls LOVED the Cub's Den at WL. You could bring your kids there and then take the nice boat ride to the CR from there.

Without paging through tons of posts to find the answers can anyone tell me if the main pool will be open Oct-13 to the 20th? I received a letter on the beach and Sunset Point having issues then but nothing of the pool. Thanks!

As of now we are hearing jan for closing of main pool, not official yet so anything can happen. Trying to keep any closings/major updates on first post

thanks! Good to know that we'll be able to get to the beach. I'm assuming will still see Wishes? I had read something about work being done that could impact view from rooms. Is it just that the TPV rooms would be closed, or is there working going on in the water too?

Good question, they are rumored to be building out over the lagoon, so who knows what for sure will be the impact on the view. I bet it will depend on what stage of building they are in during a given time.
