Everyone's ADRs sound great!

What I want to know is ... who is planning/hoping to go to MNSSHP? DH and I are definitely going - it will be our first time! And yep, we're dressing up too!

We're definitely planning to go. As we're going so early to mid sept, there's no guarantee there will actually be a party while we're there. We're hoping for one sept 11th though as the parks close at 7pm that day.

We'll be there partially in September! We booked Free Dining for 8/27 to 9/6 in a Garden View. We always go mid to late September but with a high schooler now, she is more concerned about not missing field hockey than seeing Mickey...Can you imagine!?

So we are going a a few weeks earlier than usual. But I did get to add 2 days to our our usual trip time and upgrade to a Mod since we almost always stay at Pop.

Here's our ADR's:

8/27 Nada except probably scheduling Parasailing for my then 6 yr old DD
8/28 Coral Reef
8/29 Nada again
8/30 1900 Park Fare
8/31 Primetime Cafe
9/1 Spirit of Aloha (original plan was Hoop Dee Doo but then we thought it would be closed so I mentioned Luau and now my girls refuse to switch back to Hoop )
9/2 Chef Mickey's
9/3 Cape May (2 of us will have breakfast and then 2 of us will head back later for dinner)
9/4 Akershus
9/4 San Angel (for 2 of us) & Marrakesh (for 2 of us)
9/5 Trex (for 2 of us) & Rainforest Cafe (for 2 of us)

This will be our third stay. We originally picked FQ based on the theme alone. Immediately feel in love with this resort. My favorite part is that it allows you to get totally immersed in the property. It is set up just like a value resort where the bus stop is in front of the lobby. So each time you go back and forth to the stop, you pass through all the themed areas. Of course, it is much smaller in size so every building is a nice short walk. In contrast, we stayed at CBR on our last visit. It is a beautiful resort, but we were very far from the main building and main pool. We only made it over there twice the whole week. The rest of the time we just walked from our building through a parking lot and back. Made refillable mugs useless.

I was beyond thrilled to make it back to FQ this year! I probably even embarrassed my kids when I did a little "dance" all through the house singing, "We are going to French Quarter! Woo-woo!"

The bus does sometimes share with POR, but it is not a problem this time of year. At least for us. The boat to DTD is fabulous after a long day in the parks!

We pretty much got everything we wanted. We didn't get Ohanas though. I got up and was online at 6:05....they only had 9:15pm....I thought, why not call...so I called and got through at 7am....still only had 9:15 at Ohanas on the 23rd. I also noticed that the times online were different than what was offered on the phone.

For example, we picked Crystal Palace on the 24th...online said only 8:50 was available...when I called they gave me 8:20. Same with the Fantasmic Lunch/Dinner package. I booked 1:45 online but wanted an earlier lunch. When I called, they did give me a 12:45. The rest were within the time frames I asked for.

So glad to see most everyone got the ADRs they wanted. I was so worried about this aspect of it ... that and booking the KTTK tour.

Now all I have to worry about is MNSSHP tix and plane tix, and we're all set!

Anyone else still have to buy plane tix?

We live in FL now and we go a few times a year but my mom is coming down from Pittsburgh to join us and we are going to surprise my daughter by picking her up from school driving to Orlando and not telling her where we are going until she figures it out on her own!

count us in too. we will be there from sept 28-oct 4th then we move to the treehouse villas for two nights...free dining while at pofq. i am super excited. usually we cook in our vila so it will be nice to dine out. have to get my adr's going this is our first time at pofq and we are really looking forward to it.

Aww, thanks!! That must have been take maybe 3 years ago? It was while we were waiting to be called into Chef Mickey's and I was falling asleep. LOL I had to start taking some pictures to keep myself awake.

I did pretty good getting what we wanted even though it was short notice. I had planned on us going 9/18 to 9/26 but then we made the quick decision to go much earlier which gave me a few hours to figure out our schedule and where we wanted to make ADR's. Luckily online dining cooperated and we only had to call about 2 reservations.

So many others on this thread are staying at FQ for the first time as well ... we'll all be newbies together LOL Hope you get all the ADRs you are hoping for

Is there a POFQ roll call for May? We are going for the first time ever to WDW May 16-22!! Super excited. Celebrating DD and DS 5th birthday while we are there!! I can't wait. I think they are going to love it. DD (10) and DS(8) are already talking about the pool slide at POFQ.
